The hotel and its staff were excellent and very friendly. One observation: the poolside food area, in addition to burgers, should offer more options such as pizza or snacks. Also, in the evenings, there should be more options for children—not just on one day.

Staying here was great. The facility is beautiful, open, spacious, and VAST! While there is a lot of walking, they make up for it with continuous golf carts going around the facility and can request a ride in the app/website. The room was beautiful and clean. It had a nice king-size bed, spacious area to sit inside and out, double-sink, and dual-showerheads. ;-) Dining options were fantastic to choose from and so much we didn’t get thru all of them (mainly because we enjoyed the Italian restaurant a lot). The staff was extremely friendly and fun. Some notable mentions. Dauris from El Beso Beach bar such a fun guy when making your drinks. Edward was very nice and had a good memory on your drinks. Roberto from Dolce Vita was always excited to see my wife and I and made sure we were taken care of each time. Lastly, Privileged was worth every penny. It comes with your personal butler and ours, José, was fantastic. Anything you need (within reason) or had an issue, he took care of. It made our experience stress-free. 🙂 A couple of small annoyances I will mention that didn’t take away from this being a 5-star place, but could help the resort enhance the experience for others. 1. The whole resort lost power a couple of times, which was weird but it came back on within a few minutes. 2. Vendors they bring onto the resort in the Plaza Area, very pushy. That part did make us upset and have to find ways to avoid them. 3. Music on El Beso side too loud at times. We’ll be back. 🙂

My group and I loved our stay here. We were able to try a new restaurant every night, rotate between tanning on the beach or by the pool, and relax from the comfort of the balcony in our room. The staff here was excellent and very involved, especially our concierge Jose! He was very attentive to helping us acquire any drinks, toiletries, and assist in making reservations each night! Overall we loved our stay at Ocean El Faro!

Ocean El Faro Resort Review (March 2025) Flights (Flair Airlines): Pre-purchase baggage online to save money; 2 large suitcases and 1 carry-on cost $250 each way. Seat selection was difficult, but families with children were seated together automatically. Food options were basic; avoid the mac and cheese. Transfers: Confirm transfer details if booking through Expedia; pre-arranged transportation is cheaper. Recommended service: CJ Transfer Punta Cana. Customer Service: The lobby offered a great atmosphere, but service across the resort was inconsistent. Concierge Jose was excellent, but check-out was frustrating due to unresolved charges. Beach and Pools: The beach is scenic but not ideal for swimmers due to rough waters and coral. The pool near the lobby was lively, though bar service was slow. Chairs were available early morning; tipping is encouraged. Rooms: Rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, though there were issues with bed configurations and occasional pests. No turndown service or towel animals were provided. Dining: The Japanese restaurant was excellent, but the steakhouse was underwhelming. The buffet was convenient, with breakfast being a highlight. Amenities: The lazy river and kids’ activities, including the waterpark and Daisy Club, were fun and well-managed. Night markets featured aggressive vendors, so bargaining was key. Overall, the resort was a 4/5

We had an amazing stay at Ocean El faro, we upgraded to the adults only and got more access to the pools for only adults and the restaurant (Pez Dama, which the food was delicious). Jose was our concierge and he made our stay amazing! He reserved us restaurants, and whatever questions we’d have, he’d answer them. He is super welcoming and friendly! The resort has a great layout and so much area for swimming and beach. We enjoyed the walking and if walking isn’t for you there’s golf carts to pick you up. At night there’s a section with many restaurants that felt like a little village with everyone there. We loved how there are so many activities for everyone, we didn’t have kids but saw many and they have many things to do as well. I’d recommend this resort if you also have a large group of people you want to go with, it’s perfect for reunions, or just family/friend vacations!

My teenagers and I had a wonderful stay here. What made it very nice was our personal concierge, Jose. Anytime we needed anything, we just sent him a text and we received what we needed within minutes. He took care of all of our dining reservations, anything we needed for the room – extra bottled water or towels, and arranged for a convenient check out. If you stay here, be sure to request Jose! He was very professional, friendly and attentive.

This was our first time in Punta Cana and at the Ocean El Faro Resort and we were very impressed. Our butler Jose Miguel Jimenez made our vacation so much fun and easy, he helped me decorate my daughter’s room for her 21st birthday and made all of our dinner reservations and transportation requests. He really went above and beyond, we could not have asked for a nicer guy. We were impressed by how nice all of the staff were, especially the ladies who waitressed in the sports bar. We spent most nights on the plaza having after dinner drinks and the waitresses were so friendly and efficient and kept our drinks coming. We would definitely recommend and plan to go back again soon!
