The staff at this hotel was amazing and did the best they could with horrible management. The hotel was incredibly short staffed and underprepared for an event like mardi gras. They did not have enough towels for their rooms, not enough valets to park cars. I saw maids waiting for hours to get to another floor with their carts when two of the three elevators broke. Despite all this, the staff did a great job and were extremely friendly.

The room was fine overall but for me the beds & toilet seat were very low. They would hold our bags when we arrived before check-in. I'm assuming because it was Madi Gras. None of the their bars , food services or roof top lounge was open.

Throughout my entire stay, my room was not cleaned at all. In addition, only one elevator was operational for the entire weekend, which caused significant inconvenience. The air conditioning in my room worked inconsistently, turning on and off, making it difficult to remain comfortable. To make matters worse, the hallways had a persistent foul odor. These issues collectively resulted in a stay that did not meet reasonable expectations or the standards typically associated with your hotel.

It’s a nice looking hotel. Taxes and fees were almost 200 dollars. They put me and another group in the same room. Nobody came and cleaned or gave us new toiletries the entire stay. My cards deactivated a day early. And when I went to checkout they still had me listed for the wrong room.

During our stay, room did not get clean or any room service. Room had a foul smell the entire stay. No clean towels and at the end of our trip, they only had one working elevator. This was always our go to hotel but not anymore.

Very disappointed in the condition of the hotel now. Room had red stains in multiple areas. Mold/mildew along the caulk throughout the bathroom. Countertop damage, damaged furniture, bad smell the entire time in hall and room. Major decline.

Several lights would not turn on. Hall light bulb seemed to be burned out. The light above the table with two chairs was not working either. The safe could not be used. I was told no safes throughout hotel were operable. There was no hairdryer, and after my husband went to get two from the front desk which would not work, someone came with a third one, which finally turned on.

We read the reviews after booking (we were already en route) and we were SO worried. It ended up being a WONDERFUL stay. Front desk: Everyone was SO nice, including chatting up my super talkative child. They also let us know to request towels or housekeeping downstairs, but we had no issues with them. Room: We had a queen bed double room, it was clean, no weird smells. The sink & shower did drain slowly but I think thats a design flaw and nothing else. I thought the sink was closed. The room was comfortable, roomy, clean, mostly quiet...we could hear our neighbors opening/closing blinds but that was the only thing. There were plugs all over the room, but the ones closest to the bed were a bit iffy as to whether or not they worked. No big deal, we plugged our phones in farther away to charge. Location: A highly rated feature and one I definitely agree with. We were in walking distance of everything in the French quarter. We walked to Gumbo Shop for dinner (fantastic gumbo & prices), walked through the quarter shopping, we walked to Cafe du Monde and Jackson Square, the cathedral, French market, the MS river, we had Fiery Crab for dinner which is super close, saw some Mardi Gras parades on Canal, we had breakfast at the super nearby Lux Cafe. We did end up driving to City Park, we had our car and paid to park directly across the street. It was about $100 for 3.5 days. Overall, the Troubadour allowed us to have a wonderful time in New Orleans during Mardi Gras, THANK YOU!
