They need better communication. A resort fee hit my card after I checked out. No one explained the resort fee. It wasn't about the amount. They also would not let me use the rolling butler cart by myself.

We were upgraded to a suite; however, our rooms were facing Canal Street, and every night there were motorcycles racing through the streets, and the noises were deafening. On top of that, there was loud music until 2 am. It was impossible to sleep.

Perfect location excellent stay!
The Hyatt Centric is perfectly positioned in the French Quarter right off Bourbon and Canal, you are close to multiple restaurants and it is very easy to catch a streetcar. There is an excellent seafood restaurant “Deanie’s” across the street that offers an excellent happy hour drink and appetizer special. We loved our stay. The room was extremely spacious with huge windows and high ceilings. The bed was very comfortable. The room was only cleaned once because the housekeepers came very early in the morning and came back late in the afternoon when we had returned for the day, but we managed to get towels and tissue refilled each day so this wasn’t a problem. Upon checkout, the desk clerk helped us call a cab which saved us a ton of money over Uber. She was so helpful and nice!

Overall, the hotel was very good. Very convenient. The food was good, but the service was very unorganized. Example; Ordered coffee with cream/milk. Came out with no milk. Took at least 5 minutes to get milk. Ordered oatmeal. Comes with brown sugar and milk. Oatmeal was bought to the table with neither. After asking twice, I was finished with my oatmeal before it was delivered to table.

A good hotel with nice staff. Only problem was that our room was booked with “view” but that ended up to be with view of the noisy swimming pool. We asked and got a quit room without view. I wish that was made clear as we paid more for the room with view but did not finally get one.
