It is literally a block from Bourbon Street so that was awesome. The downfall was that it was LOUD. The hotel itself is very nice but 2 of the 3 elevators were out of order and the one that did work was unusually slow. The staff was super friendly.

This was a perfect location for two ladies in their 70’s to access canal and bourbon street, taxis, street cars, buses, uber, and all the tours. The staff was very friendly , patient, and helpful. The food was excellent. She is not shiny and new but she is a well kept grand lady.

Location was good. Lobby and bar were nicely decorated with a contemporary look. Elevators were frustrating and the room, although spacious, felt kind of grimy. Disappointed for the price we paid and was hoping for something more elevated, especially when the lobby made such a grand first impression.

This was our first time in New Orleans! Didn't love the shared balcony but thankfully we never saw anyone else on it. Our room was on the 4th floor and the balcony also didn't feel super safe.. I'm under 200 pounds but I even felt nervous sitting out there to read. The lobby cafe was very overpriced $9 for a muffin is wild! I pay less at Disney. Overall I would stay here again and tell others too. The staff was very nice and helpful. LOVED the drink ticket upon arrival too.

We really enjoyed our room for our anniversary. If you’re wanting peace and quiet at night, get a room where the balcony is not on Bourbon Street. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at Holmes was good. The bartenders made excellent drinks. This is our stay when we visit New Orleans again.

We loved our stay at the hotel and the room we stayed in was real quiet. If you can spring to have breakfast included with your stay, the choices like the neptune, shrimp and grit, french quarter breakfast, and the alligator omeletes were really good. Also highly recommended to do valet, but beware that taxes will be added onto your bill at the end, but still worth it, because the staff is attentive and we only waited no more than 15 minutes for the car to be brought around, and this process can start fro. The time you are leaving your room with a simple text. As for the area around, we were only 1 block from Bouron street for partying and drinks and two blocks from royal for some amazing shopping. You are also about an 18 to 20 minute walk to Cafe Du Monde and Jackson Square. Please note we were there during St. Patricks Day weekend/Spring Break and after Mardi Gras. If you have to drive anywhere you should be no more than 20 minutes out, depending on where you are going. Also looking for some coffee and baked goods, just walk across the street to Victoria's Cafe(not vegan friendly but she would know of some places for the people who are vegan).

Needs major updating! The internet in my room didn’t work so I could barely watch tv. The remote didn’t work well. I couldn’t watch no apps Netflix tubi nothing. 2 of the 3 elevators were broken. My tub was peeling so I couldn’t take a bath and that’s a good reason why I choose the room so I could take a bath! And the vending machine had hot pops in it. I spoke to customer service but they had no rooms available.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We loved having options for food and drinks in the same building that we were staying in. Our only complaints would be the elevator is slow and the outlets in the room were loose, so we had a hard time charging our devices. We would definitely stay here again.

Poor costumer service at front desk.

We had a terrible check in experience. Check in is at 4pm. I had requested an early check in at noon. It was explained it was a 75 dollar fee. Due to travel delays we arrived around 1:30. We tried to check in but were told the room was not ready. I explained that we had a sick kid and asked if they could help get us into the room early. She said she would and took my phone number. My daughter then laid on the couch and slept. We waited until 4 in the lobby with no call from them. Finally at 4, I asked and they told us the room was ready but they never contacted us about it being ready early. They also tried to charge us at check out for the early check in that never happened.

Although refurbished, our 4th floor room had a very tired carpet. Some strange omissions such as no glasses in the room, so had to use paper cups. And for that price would have expected complementary water and tea as well as coffee. And the elevator is the slowest I have ever come across; all the guests were grumbling about it. You need to invest in a new one. Fairly minor things but given the price it should have been better.
