Room was nothing special. The closet closed on you every time you tried to get clothes. Was told the hotel was out of coffee. Spent premium price on a mediocre stay

Every staff member from the doorman, to check in to the bartender in Desire and waitress we had for breakfast were so friendly and attentive. Our room was great, the inside balcony that faced the courtyard was a good move and provided a quiet night sleep. We've stayed here before and will again!

New Orleans is our second city and The Royal Sonesta is our second home. From the moment we arrive we are greeted with hugs and handshakes from Kaleb at the door to the bellman to the front desk. We love the location and the beauty of the property. Highly recommend an interior courtyard/pool view to cut down on Bourbon Street noise at night, but we’ve had a balcony on Bourbon and it was a blast. This was perhaps our 6th stay and by far the best. We’ll be back for sure!! Cheers!

Water Pressure and Temperatures NON Existent, Grouting in Bathrooms Yellow, Mattresses (2 rooms, 3 beds) were Horrible actually inducing Non Restful SLEEP? Bed Linens were Harsh and pillows worse. While the Location for the French Quarter is Great, this Establishment needs to give the Whole Premises a Complete overhaul, and Interior Remodel while acknowledging its Antiquity & Architecturual history, its 2025 not 1925. If we paid $130 per night not what they are charging, id still be disappointed. Staff was Lovely and Housekeeping was Great.

We stay here anytime we are in New Orleans, and that's 3 times just this year 😆. You cannot beat the location, R'Evolution is a fantastic fine dining experience, Desire has fantastic oysters and breakfast, Jazz Playhouse is a great, intimate jazz club, and service is excellent at every turn. If it's warm, there is a great pool area. You really could not ask for anything more. It was also decorated beautifully for Christmas. We, if course, will be back!

Being right on Bourbon street makes it very convenient to party and most locations are within walking distance. The Jazz Club on property buts on great shows and the restaurant are clean with god food and good service

We paid a premiem for a Bourbon St Balcony. We received the room but after a couple hours being very cold realized the heat didn’t work. Went to front desk and she gave us a different room in the back of the hotel. At least the heat worked. Woke up to make coffee and reilized there was no coffee so I called the front desk. She connected me to housekeeping which I simply wanted a couple coffee packs. She then told me the hotel lost their coffee supplier and they have no coffee in any of the rooms? We had our wedding at this hotel 13 years ago and have stayed here at least 40 times but the property is going downhill quickly. So sad to see

Excellent service throughout. Stayed for 5 nights. Rooms were cleaned daily and were spotless. Staff at the front desk was very nice and welcoming, always had a smile. They explained me what all was included very well when I checked in. The Jazz Playhouse and the drinks there are great. Pool was clean. Breakfast was included for me and was cook to order and their menu was really good and had Cajun breakfast dishes at the Desire Oyster bar which were very nice and delicious. Shout to Shirley!
