This is our go-to hotel in the French quarter. The rooms are always clean and the bed comfortable. This time our higher priced balcony suite was disappointing. The air conditioning blew so cold it was uncomfortable and the room felt much colder than where the thermostat was set. Also there was an outlet on only one side of the bed, which is very inconvenient for charging phones or being able to plug in two CPAPs. It seems they could easily run a conduit behind the bed and add add another outlet.

Still a great place to spend a weekend

I’ve wanted to stay at Le Richelieu for 30 years, when I lived in New Orleans. It’s not the jewel it once was, but for our stay it was perfect. The staff was friendly and efficient. Sadly, the beautiful bar is no longer open. The coffee was really bad. But a bucket list item was experienced and we had a grand time!

What a lovely hotel, the rooms were large and comfortable, the building is old and grand, just like the rest of the French Quarter! The pool is a great bonus! And the location is perfect.

I’m a solo female traveler, this is the second time I’ve stayed here this year. this was a safe walkable location to the French quarter and marginy. The rooms are simple and very clean. The bed is very comfortable, staff was always present at the desk at all hours I was coming and going. The pool is a nice amenity, and I was excited for the tiny fridge in the room. Having digital keys was a nice option as well. The cleaning team although quick and efficient but a little loud in the morning would be my only criticism.

Somewhat sparse but elegant. Spacious room with high ceilings, wood floors, antique furniture. Comfortable bed. Very clean and modern bathroom. Historic building in the heart of the French Quarter one block from the Jazz Museum. Pretty patio with small pool. Secured parking in lot with locked gate for $45, standard price in NOLA. Very warm and helpful staff. No bar or restaurant, but good morning coffee. Small fridge in room. I would def stay again.
