I liked the old feel to the property and it’s perfect location. Close enough to catch the street car down to Bourbon Street, but far enough to get a good nights sleep. The front desk staff were so nice and helpful. Trent & Pherell helped us a lot! The only not so positive thing to say is for the first half of our trip the heat in the room didn’t work, we let the front desk know and they fixed it promptly. Would stay here again !

The hotel and room provided. great sense of history yet freshened up and well kept. There’s no classic look but also musky or moldy here, everything was nice and fresh. The rooftop bar has a great view, as did our room!

good first impression

Pros: Loved the staff. They made us feel at home.
Cons: Most issues should be solved with the opening of the restaurant and the sitting area in front of the restaurant.
Location: Several great restaurants in proximity. The Blind Pelican and Lula being the best
The staff was fantastic! I was disappointed to find that the main restaurant was closed and going through reconstruction. I was looking for a full service hotel when I booked. They do have a very nice bar are but the menu was quite limited. They also had a great rooftop bar but no food there either. There was a sitting area/ lobby but it was not really being used because of the proximity of the Caribbean Room which was under construction. So from the standpoint of lounging you were either in a bar or in your room which while comfortable for awhile eventually got old. Again, beautiful facility but lacking in some areas.

AWESOME

Pros: EVERYTHING!
Location: very nice location, away from all the partying of Bourbon street, yet close enough to get there by streetcar in just a few minutes
This was our first visit to NOLA. The Pontchartrain Hotel was perfect! Just exactly what I imagined it would be like. Awesome staff, great accommodations, perfect area. Roof top bar was amazing, Both restaurants were delicious. When I go back to NOLA this is where I will stay !!!!!

Wonderful Stay

All of the staff were Warm, friendly and super helpful. Our room was large, bright and airy and the bathroom was huge. Lots of vintage and vintage inspired art in the rooms and scattered throughout the hotel. We enjoyed our 4 day stay very much and will definitely stay again when we visit NOLA in the future.

10th Anniversary Staycation

Pros: Everything from the food to the room decor to the personable staff!
Location: St Charles Ave is BEAUTIFUL and alive! Bought a streetcar day pass for $3, totally the best way to cocktail your way down the avenue!!
Quaint, Romantic, Eclectic, Fun and Chillaxed! We wanted a stay away from home and this was the perfect fit!
