Everything was good. Except for the ac unit. Was very loud and didnt work very good.

For the price paid and Wyndham standards I expected so much more the place was filthy inside and out. Why would you assign a room to a older couple right across from the elevator and that has a water leak in the bathtub. No room service at all until the day before I was due to check out. I stayed for 5 days. The homeless and other sketchy individuals camped out daily directly across the street. There is no small refrigerator to store beverages which is needed in hot,humid New Orleans. The service staff did not understand English or they acted like they didn’t when I enquirer as to why the rooms were not cleaned or towels given. The hotel had less amenities than a motel no TV channel guide or pen and paper just an epic NO when trying to enjoy your vacation at this hotel.

I was a little disappointed bc I booked thru Travelocity and had all the amenities and the king size bed which my husband and I wanted, and didn’t receive confirmation, so when I phoned to ask why, they had no info. I rebooked and those amenities weren’t available. We slept in the double beds, no fridge, no microwave.

Ill start off with the good points. The security of the facility was excellent and kept the "not so nice" people in the area out. Also lots of police presence in the area. Maid service was good and available daily. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in/check out was quick and easy and they will hold your bags if you have a later flight. The hotels location to dinning and nightlife is great, however the city has forced most restaurants to close early. Now for the bad... The property smelled of mold and mildew. There was damage to the bathroom prior to us checking in that was not repaired. The pool was very small and being indoors on the 10th floor was very loud with the pump room enclosed in the area. Also the pool water was extremely cloudy to the point you almost couldn't see your feet. We were given a room across from elevator doors that were constantly in use (which means no good sleep for 6 days and not for any fun reasons). Walls were very thin and you can hear not only everything in the hallways, but in the rooms next to you(I did have to call security once and they were quick to respond). I requested another room, but was denied by staff. If you have allergies watch out the air filters probably have not been cleaned in some time. The air conditioning unit is right next to the bed so when it is on you are freezing under the covers and when it is off you are tearing blankets off all night long there is no happy medium. Lots of Homeless in area.
