Thank you for the great feedback!

Hotel was a little artsy, but really comfortable. The staff was always kind and attentive. Our room was well-styled, and the hard wood floors have just the right amount of creak. Just like any hotel, if your neighbors are talking loudly, you will hear it through the walls, but even that wasn't terribly distracting.

Great atmosphere

My wife and I loved the atmosphere and look of the hotel. Compere Lapin, the restaurant in the lobby, was great as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The room had a lot of dust, the air conditioner intake was filthy and it was obvious the filter had not been changed in a long time, and the sheets were stained.

Thank you so much for the valuable feedback. I will work with our housekeeping team to ensure this is corrected.

lovely decor, terrific sized rooms-enough space for three adults and all of their stuff. Would like to have a coffee maker in the room or more staff at the downstairs coffee bar.

Nice hotel with friendly staff

Pros: Friendly staff. Interesting art work.
Cons: I would like a coffee pot in the room, or at least to have coffee available in the lobby.
Location: Good location for walking to the convention center and to the French Quarter.
I enjoyed my week at the hotel. The room was not large, but it was quite adequate. The only thing missing was a coffee maker in the room. I would have even been happy with coffee available for purchase in the lobby, but this wasn't available until 7:00, and I had to be out by 7:00 each day. Overall, the hotel was clean, and neat, and it felt right for New Orleans. I enjoyed the boutique-ness of the place.

Wonderful hotel

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were great. The room was on the small side but very clean with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom/shower. I wish there would have been a coffee machine in the room, especially since the lobby coffee was pricey for even a standard cup of coffee (not speciality). Overall, had a great time and would definitely recommend.

This place was simply perfect. Lux but not fussy.

John the GM and his team were amazing and they made our stay so special without any prompting. I hated to leave.

Frequent NOLA visitors, 1st at The Old No. 77

Pros: Great vib, Ray (the bell captain), fun and delicious dining in the hotel.
Cons: Noise deadening between floors (Frankenstein was apparently checking out early from the room above us). More light in the bathroom.
Location: Lots of great dining post-Katrina has sprung up within walking distance. Several museums (WWII and Children's) are nearby.
We were very happy with our experience at the Old No. 77 - cool neighborhood, well done conversion, pleasant staff, great restaurant. We've been to Jazzfest for the past 24 years and have typically stayed in a chain hotel - this year we stepped out and were happy with the difference.

Good News-Bad News

The hotel was conveniently located and initially met all of our expectations for a place of that price. However, when attempting to pull back the dress one of the handle rods fell on my wife. the shower head what appeared to be white stains and it's so we had to use him as a bath mat to shower. Take note, there is no bath tub in their "Delux" rooms! Flushing the toilet was a crap shoot since the float jammed most times preventing it from refilling the tank. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. Will we return? Not for that price! P.S. there is no coffee in the restaurant, just expresso. :-(

Thank you for the feedback and I'm so sorry you experienced some set backs. Our guest letting us know these things allows us to fix them. I will have my engineering and housekeeping keep eyes on these things that go overlooked sometimes. I do apologize that you were misinformed but we do have coffee at our Café, not just espresso as well as other delicious drinks and eats. THank you again for your feedback and if the price appeals to you in the future you return.
