Disappointed

The bed was comfortable. Other than that it was disappointing. The tub filled with water when you take a shower. The door knob fell off on the door to the balcony. The room was not very clean either. Great location though. Nice restaurant next door, and a nice courtyard.

French Quarter

Hotel was convenient. Problem with phone, problem with safe Cleaning of room was extremely lax. Bathroom had same dirt on the floor for the week. Rug was never cleaned. This could be a better hotel with some updating

Great location - decent hotel

Pros: Location Restaurant and bar in hotel
Cons: cleanliness of bathroom
We stayed for two nights with kids (age 10 and 12). We had a room with 2 double beds/no balcony. The room was bigger than expected and the beds were comfortable. A/C was working fantastic which was nice with the humidity of New Orleans. Nice courtyard with a pool. Small pool but we were not there to swim all day. Also has a good restaurant and bar and coffee bar as well. The cleanliness of the bathroom was disappointing. Hair in tub. Toilet chain fell off more than once so we had to fix. Cant beat the location. 1/2 block from Bourbon Street, which we didnt need to be that close to with kids, but still good walking distance to pretty much everywhere, but around a quiet corner so it wasn't loud all night long. Staff was nice.

In the perfect spot for New Orleans.

Location: New Orleans is industrial tourism. Fun and glad we went but more like a theme park--with the theme being to remove money from your pocket..
Hotel was a great place for seeing everything. Comfortable with friendly staff. Needed a bit of attention (freshening up with paint etc, but perfectly adequate. Warning about Travelocity: 1. The airline changed our flights (I guess). We got to the airport only to find the flight number was different and had already left. Travelocity never told us (airline said it was their responsibility--they tell the booking agency. 2. The Airport Shuttle was called a 'special deal'. It was the same price as usual. And unless you are one passenger, the price is the same (with slower service) than a taxi for two people. Take a taxi.

Great location

Stayed here one night after our cruise, location is spot on, beautiful courtyard, great customer service, wasn't crazy about the restaurant, I would have preferred free coffee and tea in the lobby but oh well

Very nice hotel close to Rue Bourbon

Pros: It is a very charming hotel really close to Bourbon St. The locale is fantastic, the parking is convenient and everyone there is super-nice.
Cons: When the room was cleaned, we were not refreshed with shampoo and soap. There are some obvious signs of wear, crack behind the door from the doorknob
Location: The hotel is on Toulouse St. which is about midway down Bourbon St, where it sits. You are really close to the French Market and not far from much!
My sister and I went to New Orleans for two nights and booked at Hotel St. Marie. The rooms are very comfortable, great beds! The hotel is older, and shows some minor signs of wear around the edges. Hotel staff was fantastic! There is a bar in the hotel, which is not part of the hotel, but a "tenant" of the hotel. Victoria at the bar was phenomenal! Very friendly, great drinks and took the time to learn about what I can't have and modified a drink to accommodate those restrictions (and it was great!). If you do nothing else when staying at Hotel St. Marie, go down for a nightcap with Victoria!

Hotel is in a great location. Unfortunately there were things I was just not very happy with. Outlets in our room did not all work. A/c was only controlled by high/med/low. So you either froze or got warm. Not comfortable when your sleeping. Maid staff was good. Wish they knew that towels went in the bathroom not on the bed though... The front desk staff & Stanley were very friendly & helpful!

Nice, traditional French Quarter hotel.

Pros: Location, staff, great little coffee shop. Like the rooms with inside balconies. Staff is very accommodating of special requests.
Location: Great location in the middle of the French Quarter, but on a quiet side street.
The staff behind the desk were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the housekeeping staff were very prompt to our requests. The location is excellent,a block off Bourbon but quiet.

Classic, Close to Bourbon Street.

This hotel was pretty nice in terms of the beauty of the hotel. Being only a half block from Bourbon Street you're close enough to the action without being too close to the noise. The Front Desk staff was extremely nice and very helpful in giving advice for the area. The room was comfortable and The front desk upgraded us to a balcony room overlooking Toulouse street and Bourbon. However, there were downsides. The only parking is valet and it's 34.00 per night, the plate on the hotel room door was loose. Room service was good but expensive. If your going to get dinner, stop before you get to the hotel. The biggest problem was that they charged by card three times, two of which were told before our stay and one that wasn't. I had to call the hotel four times to finally get an answer about the charge. All I can say is check your statements or bank. I liked the hotel in spite of these issues. They did a good job and the hotel was ok, but they should work on some of the issues.
