The hotel was quaint and the courtyards were cute, but half of the staff were great and the other half did not seem to do their job very well, (maids, evening front desk). The first room we were assigned to had blood on the sheets, so we were moved to another room up the stairs, not a problem but it happened to be in the smoking section of the hotel. Hated to leave room and smell someone smoking right out your door. Breakfast was the same every day, how about some fruit or yogurt, even a small pastry would have been nice. Will not be staying there again.

The property is great if you like old architecture and a bed and breakfast/boutique type hotels. The rooms, our room anyway, was small but, was fine for what we needed. The breakfast was good, just the basics of eggs, sausage, grits and cereal but good and constantly replenished. Coffee and water are left for you all day. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is great, just a couple of blocks from Bourbon and everything else. We would stay here again for sure.

Depending on where the room is, some are noisier at night. Our group had one room off the courtyard with no noises from street traffic, could just hear muffled noises from neighboring rooms. The room directly off the street had louder nighttime festivity noises- loud when cars drove by, people walked by the sidewalk on cellphones, or the brass band that came by at 2am Thursday evening. Clean towels and sheets, the rooms seemed a bit older but very functional. Hands down the friendliness of the staff is the best part of this hotel.

Not worth the money

Was right in the French quarter but otherwise not what I expected for the price at all. The room was so small you could hardly walk past the beds to the bathroom. Not even enough room on the floor to lay out your suitcase. The carpet and bed linens were all stained with pink and yellow spots, who knows what that was. Housekeeping only came once in the four days we were there and only to change the trash bags, they didn't even make the beds or bring more toiletries. The continental breakfast was minimal with scrambled eggs, sausage patty, cereal, and breads everyday. One time the milk even tasted spoiled. The walls are really thin so don't plan on sleeping. The only redeeming qualities were that the staff were kind of nice and the cookies. I've stayed in better motel 8s. Our friends stayed in one of the mainstream hotels off canal st and paid half the price for three times the room, amenities, and service with similar location. Don't waste your money here!!!!!

Deserves 10 stars!

Going to New Orleans has been a bucket list destination for years. I wanted the reality to match the dream. I wanted be be on the French Quarter. I did not want to be in a chain type hotel. The HotelSt Pierre was everything I hoped for-and more! It has old world charm. My room was across the street from the lobby. I had to walk through an iron gate to access it. I felt like I was entering a secret garden. The room was as spacious and pretty. The nicest surprise was the free breakfast. Not just some pastries. Scrambled eggs, sausage, grits, fresh biscuits, cereal, bread, bagels. Wonderful and plentiful! EVERY single staff member I met was professional, courteous and very friendly! The location was great- a short walk to everything but still on a quiet street. Best experience I’ve had in a hotel in a long time. I feel in love with the city and hope to return someday. I KNOW where I’ll stay.

The room wasn't as nice as we expected. Roach in bathroom. Difficulty unlocking the door. Maintenance came to show us a trick to open it.

Pros: Most of the staff were nice. Good breakfast, WONDERFUL cookies and milk - afternoon snack.
Cons: A nice clean room is always a comfort when away from home!!! I didn't like being in the room, it made me feel like I was in a icky low budget motel
Location: In the French Quarter ... always something to do there!!!!!
Most of the staff were nice. Good breakfast, WONDERFUL cookies and milk - afternoon snack. Stairs and steps .. I never noticed an elevator. Our group used 2 rooms ... the rooms needed a decent cleaning and one room had several maintenance issues. We moved to a different hotel.
