Girls birthday weekend

The hotel was so authentic and beautiful. The internet was out so we had no television. Everything was very clean the building is very old and you can tell it. The bathroom door would not shut in our room. The pool was so cute and nice. The location is wonderful for all the scenery in Nola.

We miss this hotel already! Historical...was surprised it was so convenient to everything. Beautiful rooms, sunny spacious lobby. Friendly and attentive staff. We arrived in the middle of a downpour and the front desk was so kind. Only problem was trying to get in and out of the very high bed. Could have used TWO two-step small platforms for both sides of the bed.

Let me start by saying this was a cool place. The pools, while needing to be cleaned, were in neat little courtyards. They are perfect for one family or if people just want to stand in there and have drinks. One pool was a decent temp but the other felt like bath water. The set up is quite unusual with its many corridors and different buildings, all adding to its appeal. The building itself is very old which gave us reassurance that if anything happened during our stay, this building would weather well. However, the mattress covers were dirty, the sink did not drain, the floors were squishy, the lightbulbs in the vanity were flickering, we ran across a few cockroaches outside in the courtyard and one very large rat while we we at the pool. We understand that we are in the south and in a big city so cockroaches and rats are likely. We never saw any in the rooms or corridors. We were charged incorrectly during our stay, crap happens, I’m just saying check your statements. We had large windows so street noise was a thing but it was moderate in July. We travel with a sound machine so we didn’t have a problem. For my husband and I the bed was extra extra firm and I had trouble sleeping but my teenage son slept perfectly, depends on your needs. We found objects from previous guests in our rooms so take what you will with that information. This place was not terrible. It was totally doable and I’ve stayed in worse.

Property was cute. It’s old, but cute New orleans feel. I personally wasn’t happy with the room that was given to us. It had been painted and that’s it. Room has nothing in the walls and just was sad. Compared to the room posted online, or I saw in person. This room was sad. Light fixtures outside of room, was on the ground with railings from a bed. Not really safe to walk at night. Just overall, wasn’t happy with that room.

The only thing that was good was paige the front desk clerk and victor who headed the maintenence staff which both are extremely over paid you are all charged way too much for the rooms that you went out. The first room we had was really small, the the T. V didn't work. The air conditioner didn't work. No refrigerator no microwave. And we had to pay a $157 for parking even after we had. Paid $600 for 3 nights at your establishment. The second night we switched rooms little bigger still no microwave or frigerator. Air conditioner still didn't work adequately. It never got any cooler than 74° in the room. We had to go to Walmart. And purchase a van so we could sleep both both beds in both rooms leaned to where the person with less weight was higher than the person with more weight. After the second night we decided to.Cut our losses and go home. Because our experience was horrible we will never stay at this place again. It was in no way worth the price we paid. Charging for parking is absolutely ridiculet's when people stay at your facility? Especially the prices you all charge. We enjoy getting to know and conversating. With with the couple staff memyes, they were the greatest part of your facility. Other than that it is not worth what you all start by no means
