This property did not advertise that their lounge was under construction at the time of booking. Had we known this, we would have stayed elsewhere, this was a large factor in selecting this hotel. The shower in our room did not work. When I contacted Marriott, they would not do anything for us, as we booked through Expedia. I am hopeful Expedia will review my comment and compensate us in some form for this stay.

Comfy but loud
The hotel is super convenient to the conference center, shopping and dining. The valet parking is a safe and convenient option with courteous and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and clean. However, this area was surprisingly very loud on the street below. I was on the second floor and my noise-cancelling ear buds could not cancel the club music and motorcycles blaring below.

Any easy 2 block walk to the convention center. Actually within walking distance of Bourban St., Jackson Square, Riverwalk, and casino. Only negative was the hours of the Starbucks/bar.

Staff was excellent. My room was clean, but it had a bad smell. Valet parking is mandatory and is $40 per night. I didn't realize that when I booked, although that was probably my own fault.

Originally went to New Orleans to take a cruise and wanted somewhere to stay nearby. The hotel was perfect for what we needed. Would definitely stay there again.

I had an enjoyable stay. The hotel is a little dated, but nice. The coffee bar downstairs does not give cash an option, which I didn't care for, so I only used it 1 morning.

This place was so nice and I will be booking here again. There is a loft feeling to the lobby. It is clean, the staff friendly, and beds amazing. Valet parking only which is convenient but $40/day.

Marriott needs to remove this hotel from the chain The entrance is very discouraging The staff on the phone barely pay attention to you Hostal type - no hotel type Very basic No Amenities No internet You need to tell the client what to expect Too expensive for the basic hotel type. The hotel was not a good experience. The hallways were dirty. The room temperature had to be reset as it was really hot in our room. There was no hairdryer in the room.
