Front desk staff too busy talking among themselves to be helpful, no greeting, just "what's your name and I need a credit card". Room was not serviced 2 out of 4 days of our stay. called front desk repeatedly to no avail. Had to see manager to even get clean towels. Toilet backed up, heat did not work, noise was out of control with people running up and down the halls screaming. Trash in the hallways and staff walking right past it. Will not be back

We arrived for a cold snap, the room was lovely, but requests for extra towels and blankets were never delivered. The room was clean, but although we never requested the Green reduced cleanings, we never saw housekeepers in our room. All the staff we did see were wonderfully friendly and helpful, though. Thumbs down on the noise at night, big thumbs up for the exercise room and hot tub/pool. The games in the lobby restaurant were a big hit with the whole family, as was the food. Comfortable for the whole family, some of whom were not impressed by Emiril and the other wonderful restaurants just steps away. Riverwalk was also convenient, and Harras Casino and the streetcars we a walk even 75 year old grandma enjoyed.

Overall good but...

Overall this was a great hotel - very clean and food was good. But like most reviews, depending on the night that you're there, there will be a lot of noise from the club across the street at night. Also, a few things that this website doesn't mention: there is a $35 overnight parking charge (which is better than most hotels and lots in the area) AND although there is a complimentary breakfast included, it is only for two adults. Meaning if you book a room for four adults, you will get 2 adult and 2 children's breakfasts. Better than nothing but it's something that wasn't covered on this website that neither the hotel or Travelocity were willing to budge on.

Perfect location to enjoy New Orleans

The location could not be beat. You can be part of the action of Bourbon street with just a short walk and still have some peace when you want to get away.

Marriott that needs to be fixed in many ways.

First of all, "valet parking available" is not the same as "only valet parking available". We purchased the valet anyways, and we found that it is not a timely service, even if you call ahead to have your car ready. Not worth the 26dollars/ day. Two. Both the toilet and the shower did not work properly. The toilet kept running water all night even after they sent a "mechanic" to fix it. Shower would not drain. Three. The clothing iron did not work properly. Four. The AC stopped cooling the room at about 2 am.

Our trip to New Orleans

Pros: It's right on the corner of two street so it was easy to get into even when they closed the street for an event.
Cons: They could offer a continental breakfast, I thought the restaurant was expensive for breakfast items and things bought in their little store.
Location: Oh my goodness there is so much to do and most of it (if your in good shape) within walking distance.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, they were remodeling but it was easy to get around and every one was very pilot. Especially enjoyed talking to I think his name was Calvin he was part of the valet section and the valets were all very nice. The hotel was very clean even with all the construction. Our room was very nice which really helped when you got stuck in traffic with the different events going on in town.

Staff was great.

Pros: Bar located in the lobby!
Cons: Pillows!
Location: French Quarter, Shopping, Mardi Gras world.
Overall it is a great place to stay. You are near a lot of great stuff in New Orleans. Just bring your own pillow. The ones here are not the best.
