Check-in is later than most hotels, and our room wasn’t ready until 30 minutes after check in. We were pressed for time and this didn’t help our stress levels. Staff at the hotel and at the restaurant didn’t seem concerned with making customers feel welcome.

Grand old hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. Rooms off of Bourbon Street are surprisingly quiet. Lots of interesting restaurants nearby. Close to tourist sites. Some streets around the property are closed for repair, but that should be expected. Overall, a good choice.

We’ve stayed here several times and really liked it. It would have been 5 stars across the board but they were having difficulty getting hot water to our room for 2 of the days of our stay. They worked hard to fix it but couldn’t solve the problem. The engineer who worked on our room worked so hard, we’d get hot water for a little while, then nada. Otherwise great hotel, close to everything, nice rooms lovely lobby, staff great!

The staff was amazing. Every single person made us feel at home from the front desk staff to housekeeping. The room was clean, temperature in the room was wonderful, registration was great at helping us determine our day. Rickie from the bar was fabulous! I will definitely come back soon! I would say that the restaurant could use some additional help - it was very slow but the food was great!
