First off, everybody that worked at the hotel was extremely friendly. Probably one of the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. For the most part the interior was fine, however my room on the 6th floor had some issues. The bathroom was in need of a very deep cleaning. I could tell it gets cleaned by housekeeping, but not in the most thorough way. The exhaust vent was caked with dust and lint and the towels sat right below it. There was not a soap dispenser in the shower, although the mounting was there. Perhaps it was broken and never replaced. The flooring throughout the room was dark and there were a lot of white specks on it. I thought it was dirt, but it turns out it was dried paint. Better than having the floor dirty, but the look is bad.
Second, I had very little water pressure in the shower for hot water. And on 2 of the 3 days there was no hot water. I did mention it to the front desk on the first day it was out, but it was still not working the second day.
Third, the restaurant for breakfast was slow. Painfully slow. The initial order taking and stuff was fine, but it took forever to get food out. It was almost like they were cooking one meal at a time. Relaxed is fine since we are in New Orleans, but it was too relaxed to the point we noticed it was slow.
The hotel is convenient and I would probably entertain another stay here.
