This was my 4'th time visiting the French Quarter. I didn't plan on spending much time in my hotel. Because: It's the French Quarter! However, I ended up spending a great deal more time in my hotel than I normally would have, and for all the right reasons. Everyone, from the valet who parked my car, to the receptionist, servers, bartenders, managers - unbelievable level of service. Claire (server in the Roux on Orleans restaurant) was excellent. Ken and Big T from Touchdown Jesus were amazing as well. There was also a bartender at the pool bar who kept me there for a long time because he was so engaging - I regret that I don't remember his name. I own my own bar and have been in the service industry for about 32 years and there's absolutely no one from this hotel that I wouldn't immediately hire on the spot. I hade an amazing experience. Also, I found plenty of time to experience the French Quarter.

First off, everybody that worked at the hotel was extremely friendly. Probably one of the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. For the most part the interior was fine, however my room on the 6th floor had some issues. The bathroom was in need of a very deep cleaning. I could tell it gets cleaned by housekeeping, but not in the most thorough way. The exhaust vent was caked with dust and lint and the towels sat right below it. There was not a soap dispenser in the shower, although the mounting was there. Perhaps it was broken and never replaced. The flooring throughout the room was dark and there were a lot of white specks on it. I thought it was dirt, but it turns out it was dried paint. Better than having the floor dirty, but the look is bad. Second, I had very little water pressure in the shower for hot water. And on 2 of the 3 days there was no hot water. I did mention it to the front desk on the first day it was out, but it was still not working the second day. Third, the restaurant for breakfast was slow. Painfully slow. The initial order taking and stuff was fine, but it took forever to get food out. It was almost like they were cooking one meal at a time. Relaxed is fine since we are in New Orleans, but it was too relaxed to the point we noticed it was slow. The hotel is convenient and I would probably entertain another stay here.

Clean crew began before 9AM, requested they come back later they never did. Our stay was 4 days and not one cleaning, bed never made and NO TOWELs replaced. Went down to front desk to get towels and they advised they would Bring up asap, 30 minutes later finally got towels. Property is great location and beautiful decor, Staff was mostly friendly

The room was big but not wonderful. Only one chair with a back. The stools don't cut it when working at the desk, if that what it's intended to be. I know your designed and accountant love the stools. Really a mistake.

The hotel was quite nice except for two major flaws which would keep us from returning. The first was lack of hot water and poor water pressure which we reported twice and nothing changed. The second issue was we had adjoining rooms and we could hear every word our next door neighbor said through the door that connected the two rooms.

If you like hot showers that rinse shampoo from your hair, this may not be the place for you. Two day stay and the staff did nothing to accommodate this essential need. I’m still waiting to be comped. The hotel has a great location, nice bar, courtyard/pool, and otherwise would be a nice place.
