When I say this was the best resort stay I ever stayed at!!! I thoroughly enjoyed my time here! We had Diamond Club, our Butlers Omar and Sandra were so nice, attentive and on point!!!! All the staff was very pleasant and always offered to assist in anyway they could! Food wasn’t the bomb but it was great for resort food! The burgers were everything! The steakhouse was delicious. The served food on the beach was perfect especially the Calimari and Nachos with Guac! It was Don Julio EVERYWHERE!!! The frozen Mango Margarita’s were bomb! The entertainment was soooo fun! There were 2 foam parties when we were there. I’m so ready to go back! Vibes were VIBING!!!! Great resort for couples and groups of friends!!!

Smaller footprint property, all amenities are in a nice close proximity, so it's easy to get around. It does involve using elevators which can be somewhat slow during busy times. Food was excellent with a great selection. The service was excellent and the staff are very attentive, hard working, accommodating and friendly! One of the downsides to this property was the lack of entertainment. They had a few pool foam parties throughout the week and a daily pool volleyball game which was fun, but otherwise lacking compared to other Cancun resorts. DJ wouldnt play any music until late in afternoon, and very briefly. One of the disappointments was the 18th floor rooftop, it was very hot up there with very little breeze. Beware that the rooftop drinks are only included if you upgrade to the diamond club (+$120/day) , we weren't aware of this at time of booking. 75% of the guests dont upgrade, and i dont feel its worth it, so it creates a kind of divided guest group, with a dead vibe on the rooftop! The night entertainment is non-existent. A band one night played for an hour, and karaoke another night. Otherwise nightly entertainment was pretty minimal. Its possible that it was lacking due to the time of year (late May). The crowd seemed to be predominantly African-American between ages of late 20's to early 50's, but it could be that it was Memorial weekend and the Cancun Jump Off event which is the largest urban gathering outside of the US.

I loved this resort it's in a nice location and everyone is so nice. Check in was a breeze, the rooms were all clean even when they came in to re clean your room they did a great job. The bartenders are the best and the food wasn't too bad. You're not far from everything but not close where the party scene will disturb you. If you find Bryan, Jan and Santiago at the bar you're in great hands. I didn't like the rainfall showehead but they do have a hand held that works. Definitely book this resort you won't be disappointed matter of fact you will never have to leave the resort for activities. My crew had a ball and we definitely will stay here again thanks guys you rock.

Not enough elevators and the air conditioner did not seem to be working through facility. Staff was absolutely amazing but I would not return back due to comfort level being more at a 3 star hotel. Activities on the resort were not the most fun and there were issues. I would definitely stay somewhere else in the future. Food was edible but nothing was absolutely amazing. Diamond club level was a bit of a joke with checking in, was not offered a drink and was not provided a full tour of what everything was.

I had mixed feelings about my stay. My friends and I stayed for 5 days and we had a blast between us. We thought the resort itself was good and the staff was always wonderful. Specifically, the bartenders all were good at recognizing faces. The food was better than other resorts we've stayed at which is a huge plus. It was also great that you can use an app to book restaurant reservations ahead of time. It's limited to 4 people but you can leave a comment asking for additional seats. The restaurants were all nice experiences. For instance, the asian restaurant made an effort to sat us down early because we showed up a little early to our reservations and the waiter brought us all appetizers without us asking. It was a wonderful experience from a food and drinking perspective! The resort is close to the mall and several areas you can walk to but be warned, they are a little aggressive with their sales pitches but that just comes with visiting Cancun. All in all, I appreciated the Royalton CHIC's location. The elevators suck. It's as simple as that. What I didn't like were the other hotel guests. I witnessed an actual fight and several yelling matches between groups throughout my stay. To be fair, the staff didn't like it either and that's not something they can proactively control. The fight itself was when I was stuck in an elevator on the club (16th floor) level so I could not leave. No staff came to address it either, partly because it broke up before anyone got there.

This was our second time at Royalton Chic in the last 4 months! It just keeps getting better. Our butlers Ricardo and Gary were great! The took care of every one of our needs! I recommend the Diamond Club upgrade! The beach butlers were very friendly and helpful in getting us settled at the beach each day. The beach area is beautiful and very safe. We will be back!! 10 stars!!!!
