Fantastic hotel. Our stay was short, but everything was great. Check in was super easy, we were upgraded to an ocean view room. Staff was amazing and the resort was always clean. I'll def be looking at staying at the RIU on my next vacation.

The staff around the pool area were friendly and helpful. The restaurants need better communication, at 630pm my friend and I went into Margarita and was told they will seat us when a table becomes available and that although they will seat us it is not guaranteed they will have enough food for us. The dinner starts at 6pm in these restaurants so i dont quite understand how they would run out of food so quickly. The hotel was also experiencing blackouts leaving our room without AC and there was no explanation to it because the weather was clear during our stay. My husband my friend and myself have gad 2 bad experiences regarding customer service in 2 separate restaurants. Otherwise the property is beautiful and clean and the outdoor areas and food bar were amazing.

The themed pool parties were fun. The food was not good, the majority of staff were rude and did not speak more than a few words of English. When it rained the floors in the hallways were puddled up and there isnt much entertainment besides the pool parties. Close to coco bongo and hotel zone to party or find good food and shopping.
