Pleasant resort downtown

Very comfortable hotel with lots of amenities and services. I particularly liked the room, its cleanliness, the size and view over the pool area. The location is also great for day trips pick-ups and a very short walk to lively streets. I also enjoyed the fitness room, the beautiful pools with the lounge chairs. I would have liked for the breakfast to open at 6:30am rather than 7am which is when day trips start so there is barely anytime to get to breakfast if you are waiting for a bus to leave for the day. Other than that, I think this is a great value and I would definitely come back.

Misleading photos, not good room, nice amenities

The pool area was great and the hotel is very clean, but the Hotels.com profile is a bit misleading. The first three pictures (with the beach and rooftop pool) labeled “miscellaneous” are the beach club that is an extra charge $30+ per day and it’s obviously at a different location, because this hotel is in central Cancun (which is a great location to be walkable to food places and mercados). The lobby area is nice, as is the gym. If you are wondering why there are two Hotels.com profiles, it’s because the second building (attached to Oh! and the same lobby) is actually called “Smart The Urban Oasis.” They put me in a room on this side (Smart The Urban Oasis) and it was not great. The furniture did not look anywhere as nice as the photos, the shower needed replacement and oscillated from hot to cold, and the bed had a singular sheet at the bedding (no blankets or comforters in the room). Also one of the outlets didn’t work and the end and middle of the hall was being renovated. There’s no refrigerator, and there was a coffee machine but no coffee. The breakfast buffet is good, but get there early or you will be waiting for a table. I want to give this hotel a good review, but my experience was not comfortable. This hotel has potential, and I can see why many people like it. I think I had a bad room on the less nice side of the hotel.

Overall experience was great. However, the room walls were really thin so it was quite noisy during sleep time. The doors for the rooms had no stoppers so they would slam and make loud banging noises every time a door is opened or closed. Happy with everything else. Would visit again.

It's not too far from ADO bus station. If you don't have a car, it is easy to take public transportation to the hotel zone or other places such as Playa del Carmen. It takes only about 15-minute walk to the ADO bus station or take a uber there (less than $2). It is also close to Parque La Palapas, where the night market is located.

The receptionist didn't tell us where is our breakfast so at the first date we had a continental breakfast at the cafiteria. The last day we had to leav early 6:30 am)to our flight. missing our breakfast. We asked for coffee and a sandwich, even from the cafeteria but they didn't accommodate this. So we stayed 3 days but had 1 breakfast only. The agent Nick by the attractions station whpas awesome. He helped us a lot about things to do around, best restaurants ect..above and behind

Very nice hotel, including a varied breakfast and a nice view. Hotel was paid in advance, however when I checked in I was told I was charged an additional payment of 286.76 ($14.70) for some type of ecological State project which wasn’t mentioned at the time of reservation.

Disastrous start- queued for over an hour to get checked in at 10.30pm then was not given the room type i had booked and paid for. Booked Oh! room with King bed, fridge and espresso machine, was put in the Smart hotel without all 3. I complained but they just lied saying all rooms are the same and they don't have king beds or fridges anymore in any room. So poor and completely untrue receptionist tried to blame expedia when their own website says what the rooms include. So wrong to do this, especially to returning customer, but at almost midnight there was nothing i could do apart from register my complaint as there were no other rooms available. The additional $140 peso per night for environment fee seemed excessive. Got much better - the next morning they brought a fridge to the room and eventually a coffee machine, so I decided that as i was travelling solo and on the top floor, i would stay in that room. The room was large, comfortable and very quiet which was important to me and had good view over to the coast. The pool area is just incredible, heaps of loungers and cabanas, the included breakfast plentiful, the gym had been upgraded. The food/drinks at the white terrace are very nice and really good value. The hotel is easy walk to 2 cheduari, the bus to hotel zone, 15 mins to ado bus. I do enjoy staying at this hotel - check in experience aside but i think they are wrong to lie to their customers and put them in lesser rooms and not expect to rectify it.
