The room was clean and was an easy 8-block walk to the Palace of Fine Arts, with many shops, bars and restaurants along the way on Chestnut St. As with every inexpensive motel in a large city, guests should bring earplugs or a white noise machine if outside noise bothers them. The wooden shades on the window look nice, but by 1:00am I was wishing they were blackout curtains, because so much light was coming in from outside. The listing indicates Free Parking, but there were approx 10 spots for a motel with approx 40-50 rooms. I was fortunate to find a spot on a street, but prospective guests should know that street parking is free, but has a 2-hour limit between the hours of 8am-6pm M-F.

The room was clean and nicely updated. The coffee maker did not work. We told the attendant the 1st morning and nothing happened. The next morning we brought the coffee maker to the front desk and it was still sitting there when we left 2 days later. We had run out of tissues and were told to track down the cleaning people for more. There was supposed to be continental breakfast starting at 8:00am. Sunday morning was OK, but thereafter, they didn't arrive until almost 8:30am and then had to start the coffee. Since our in-room coffee maker didn't work, we had to go elsewhere for coffee. They ran out of orange juice on Sunday and never filled it again. A gallon of milk was sitting on the counter in warm temperatures????

Slightly Below Average

I am a business traveler and am a frequent hotel guest. I arrived at type hotel my first night later because of a flight delay. Despite the staff assuring me that it should not be an issue, no one was there to check me in. They also did. Include basic toiletries like shampoo, soap and lotion. The room was clean and the price was reasonable for San Francisco.

Really Clean!

Location: Great spot. Easy to walk to restaurants, bars, and shops. Marina is a bit touristy but altogether good experience.
Good place to stay! Not too fancy, but perfect for anyone who's low maintenance. Very clean and comfy. Nice bathroom too;)

First time staying in San Francisco for a few days

We drove 9 1/2 hrs during the night and got to the Greenwich Inn around 9A.M. The gentleman was very kind and moved us 2 blocks away (due to construction) to Motel Capri. The staff was very nice letting us park our car early and lending a room so my daughter could change out of her pj's to normal clothes even though check in time was at 3P.M. There was 4 of us my son, daughter, husband, and self that stayed from Fri-Mon and the room was comfortable for all of us. We even slept soundly that we woke up at 9 am which we never do...normally my my husband's internal clock wakes him up earlier. They have complimentary breakfast. A stove, microwave, and mini fridge if you want to cook. We did not use this as we were enjoying the sites &multicultural food that SF has to offer. The Staff friendliness, the quiet atmosphere, walking distance to Ghiradelle Square-Fishermans Wharf, the room was updated and very large (studio apt size) parking free with permit displayed that is provided, we would definitely go back to Motel Capri & recommend it to anyone that wants to stay in SF-A++

Don’t judge a book by its cover. There is two separate buildings. There is a really tight parking spot on one of the buildings. Don’t leave anything in the car. The best part of the room other than it is spacious and clean, is the shower. If you like the rainforest feeling, then you will love it. Breakfast is just simple.
