Pros: Comfort, location.
Cons: It's probably a safety issue, but sometimes it's nice to be able to open a window.
Location: Wonderful Irish pub (he Chieftain) next door. Walking distance to pick up our tour bus. Safe area.
Guest services agent who checked us in was particularly friendly and helpful.

Nice Area in San Francisco, poor customer service.

We went to SF for a bachelorette night out. It was probably like 4:30am when we got back to the hotel. Then, we were getting ready to go to sleep, and had no music or TV on. Two employees came to our room and threatened to asks to leave if we did not "shut up." We were confronting at any point, so I don't understand why the employees came with such attitude. Then, when I was asked at checkout how our stay was, I tried to explained the front desk employee how I felt about the "noise" incident, but was interrupted by a "whatever, next person in line." The hotel is very nice, in a nicer area in SF, but customer service definitely needs some improvement.

High Rise South of Market

Pros: Staying on the 30th floor and looking at the view, especially at night.
Cons: Larger bar
Location: Very near MOMA, Metreon, Yerba Buena Gardens, Moscone Center. Less than a mile to Union Square. Good location is you like the area south of Market.
This is a modern, big hotel. It is very nicely appointed if you like modern decor. There are clean lines everywhere. It could be considered somewhat generic. The hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. The elevators were spectacularly quiet.

Amazing hotel

Pros: Everything
Location: Great location...a couple blocks away from the BART, easy to grab an Uber or taxi, or walk down to the piers.
This hotel was amazing. Not only did it look gorgeous, it was clean and well kept. Everyone was so attentive as well. Beds were extremely comfortable (*I have a bad back). The restaurant, Luce, was delicious and the chef does an amazing job. Would definitely stay here again.

"King Club"

Pros: Location
Cons: More towel hooks for hanging towels
Location: Short trip town car charges are flat rate of $25.00... take a cab.
Take advantage of the "King Club" located on the 6th floor. Typical hotels offer a banquet breakfast in the morning and stop there. The InterContinental keeps it rolling all day and through the night with appropriate snacks and drinks. Double thumbs up!

Our Second time staying at this hotel

Pros: The view from the rooms. and the modern decor
Cons: Larger rooms for the single bed rooms.
Location: Love the location, close to the Westfield Mall, Burlingrton Coat Factory and many other great shopping. Great Restraunt across the street, Bocca.
Our stay at the Intercontinetal SF was a great experience, we have stayed here before and just love the location and convenience to city shopping and restraunts with in walking distance of our hotel. This trip was due to my grandaughter having medical procedures at UCSF so this stay was a welcome diversion for her and the family. We enjoyed using the pool, had a wonderful dinner at a restaruant located across the street. And did some shoppng at the near by Mall. My only complaint would be that the single rooms (one bed) were very small as comared to the rooms that have two queen beds. The rooms are clean, staff very nice. And the view from our room is spectacular.

Location, service, quality.

I booked this hotel only a week in advance for a last minute trip.  Price was reasonable and location seemed convenient though I don't know San Francisco that well. Arrival was smooth, we found the hotel to be quite nice, staff were fabulous and it was in a great location.  Would recommend.

Only if you're going to the convention

Cons: No free Internet
Location is good on the left towards convention center, bad on the right, about two blocks of homeless people and urine smelling sidewalks until you get to Market street (same thing but shops and other people). Staff was great because they let me check in early. Staff told me I could purchase stuff from concierge, uh, you can't. I went to the visitor center but didn't buy my ticket there since line was long. I went back to the concierge but they do not sell anything so I had to go back to the visitor center to buy my tickets. Pool room isn't 24/7 only the gym. Nicest non resort hotel gym I've seen.
