The staff at this hotel was lovely and welcoming. The room was clean and of good size for two people for a few nights. The hotel is a 10 min walk from Union Square, 3 min walk from transport. The only negative was having the sink in the bedroom.

It was my first time visiting San Francisco, and staying at citizenM turned out to be the best choice I could’ve made. The location is excellent — just steps from the subway (perfect for getting straight from the airport), one block from Trader Joe’s, and right by the first stop of the iconic cable car. The room itself was small but cozy, spotless, and designed with comfort in mind. The bed was very comfortable, and the blackout curtains made a huge difference for a good night’s sleep. Staff were friendly, and the coffee was strong, just what I needed before heading out. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel if you plan on exploring the city all day and want a comfortable place to recharge at night.

Comfortable and convenient

Room is compact, much like a cabin on a cruise ship, but well designed and comfortable. The hotels is a great place for a couple of days in the city. The rooms was very quiet even though we were on the street side.

My stay at this property made my visit to San Francisco even better. Very easy to find from Powell train station. Next to the Cable Cars. Very nice staff, always very helpful, especially when I checked in. Loved the tablet which you could remote from. Easy to use shower and they give money to charity when you don't have them clean your room(no need every day) Good environment on floor 3. Thank you for a great stay.
