Everything was great except very noisy outside our room. I think we were near where they received deliveries - heard trucks at 4am - we would of switched rooms but didn't have time to - we were out and about all day and didn't want to waste time trying to deal with this.

Cleanliness and comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast. Only negative was that we were on first floor by the road which was very, very noisy all night. Another family member was by the entrance to the hallway. They kept hearing the banging of the door opening and closing.

Superior Quality and Service

It was so lovely. We will be booking here for our next trip to San Francisco. The service, the food, the cleanliness was superior. Im not sure why anyone complained about the noise in some reviews. I could not even hear traffic in my room.

Hotel in Heart of Touristy San Fran

Breakfast is a great spread however it was really crowded and there was always a line. There were no coffee options in the lobby, nor could you take coffee from the buffet to your room if you wanted to avoid the lines. Beds were great- elevators consistently slow or out of service

Good place Great Location

Nice place with a great location. Walking distance to Alcatraz boats and Pier 39. Breakfast is quite the site. Good food with several options.

Super comfortable beds, decent size rooms and a fabulous buffet breakfast. Excellent food allergy book provided by the hostess to see all food ingredients in each pastry and bread served.

My family stayed at here for my daughter’s 4th birthday. The hotel staff easily accommodated our request to have our two rooms next to each other. We appreciated the structured continental breakfast filled with yummy fresh choices for everyone. The hotel is conveniently and centrally located a block away from the pier and all the fun activities. 10/10 would stay again and will look into Riu hotels in other locations.

Poor customer service

Extremely poor customer service. I would not recommend to anybody having the experience we had. During check-in, instead of being warmly welcomed, we were surprisingly advised we will be charged extra for our 2yr old toddler to stay with us in the same room. This is nowhere disclosed in the reservation terms and conditions. The staff clearly were aligned in their posture of not caring and saying they cannot put all the terms and conditions in Expedia’s booking platform. All of this for $22. But as a customer, it’s the principle of being charged for something you only find out about later.
