I think I expected more from the Hilton. Towels were like cardboard, old and overused one even with a hole. Bathroom counter was dirty as if nothing is really moved but rather cleaned around. The bar lobby is INSANELY loud and was ALWAYS extremely crowded. At one point a waiter put through a drink order from one in our group that clearly was not thinking straight. We asked it to be cancelled and they wouldn’t. Very unethical to take a drink order from someone too intoxicated to know better.

We stayed 5 nights. It served our needs but did not impress. Our room was not cleaned on our second to last day, which as a single mom with two kids made it extremely difficult coming back to our room after a long 4th of July. Had to call guest services multiple times throughout our stay to ask for items that were not replenished during each cleaning. I’m not high maintenance at all, we stayed in the least expensive tower 1, although I was given the option to upgrade to tower 2 at check in, at a higher cost, however I kindly declined due to my budget. We made one pool visit, for the large outdoor space the pool is tiny and the hot tub is equally small and the jets didn’t work. Overall, the location is great, check in was seamless but service throughout the stay definitely lacks.

Centrally located in DT SF. Easy to walk to great restaurants and bars in the area. Plenty of cabs and Lyft/Uber to get outside of DT. Great top floor bar with amazing city views. Price thru Travelocity was very good.

Great Location

This Hilton hotel is in a great location in downtown San Francisco. Close proximity to pretty much anywhere downtown by walking or a short ride with Uber, Lyft, or a cab. The sky bar on the 46th floor has a breathtaking view of the Golden Gate Bridge on one side and downtown on the other side!

Over priced Hotel.

Pros: Beds were comfortable.
Cons: Service
Location: Downtown San Francisco.
Over priced for what you get. There is no room service and the free breakfast is a drink, pastry and a piece of fruit that you pick up at the cafe. Our fridge didn't work and our tv went out. They didn't fix the tv until the next day after telling us they were coming to fix it that evening.

A cold environment

The hotel is very international and that was a pleasant experience. However, it is a cold ambiance. Staff are helpful when not overwhelmed. Routine purchases are very expensive. Many tour groups of Asian teenagers. Little things were off: coffee maker in room didn't work because lack of power but you could not plug it in. Room was ok but a little small with French doors to the bathroom. Noisy at night and sound travels through door. I won't stay here again.

Union square stay

Pros: Great location. Good food at the store in the lobby. Onsite parking, but it's SF pricey. Very comfortable, but not too soft, bed. GREAT pillows.
Cons: Wallpaper was peeling, pinpoint holes in the curtains, carpet was old, bed mattress cover torn in 2 places & almost worn through in a few others.
The room was old and tired and it needs a makeover, but then so do I. The wall paper was peeling in two places, the carpet was old, the bottom mattress cover was torn in two places and almost worn through in a few others. The curtains had many, many pinpoint holes in them. Having said that, the bed was very comfortable, the pillows were great and the linens and towels were a great quality. The room was very clean but it needs a makeover/refresh. The hotel is in a great location. I came for the Pride parade and I was one block away from the Parade route and 3 blocks from Union Square. There was a great store/deli combo in the lobby and a Starbucks one block away. Parking is over priced and there is a parking garage across the street at half the price, but you have to self-park. The bathroom was an awkward setup and would be impossible for two people to use at the same time, unless one was in the shower the entire time. Literally only room for one person at a time. I was in a corner room so maybe that is why the bathroom setup is so awkward, I don't know.
