We were so pleased with our view room!

Pros: The hotel is perfect, we enjoyed it very much.
Cons: THE PILLOWS! Also, the mattress tends to make you feel every movement of your spouse.
Location: The location couldn't have been any better. It is moments away from Union Square.
From beginning to end the stay was great! The remodel of the hotel is fantastic!

Union Square

Location: Union Square is itself a great location. 5 minute walk to BART & cable car route. Nice walks to China Town, North Beach and even the Wharf.
Great hotel in a great, central location. Have been staying there for years, 1st as a couple, now as a family.

Amazing experience in San Francisco July 2016!!

Pros: Location, cleanliness, comfortable, minimal surcharges, and amazing staff!!!
Cons: Nothing
Location: Location was great....close to everything....restaurants, transportation, shopping, etc.
I can't say enough great things about our stay at the Grand Hyatt. I had looked at various hotels in the city and originally had decided on a different hotel. However, I decided to get back online and look once more...and when I did, I decided to go with the Grand Hyatt instead...and am so very glad we did! The location was excellent. We were right there at Union Square and had easy access to so many things....from shopping to lots of great restaurants to public transportation...it was all very accessible and within a short walk of the hotel. The hotel and room were clean and well-kept....and that says a lot coming from me, since I tend to be somewhat of a germ-a-phobe...my standards are usually pretty high. We ended up doing the breakfast buffet every morning and it was great as well. I actually ate eggs from the buffet....they even met my standards. I also really liked that the Grand Hyatt didn't surcharge you to death on every little thing like so many hotels do (ie. refrig, wifi, etc.) The best part of our stay though was the staff. The hotel staff was wonderful!! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. We used the concierge staff like every day. They helped us book outings and always got us where we wanted to go, which made our stay more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and iif/when I come back to San Francisco, I will most definitely stay at the Grand Hyatt again!!

Perfect location in Union Square

Pros: proximity to Union Square, friendly staff
Cons: it would be nice if housekeeping left more than two paper coffee cups
the staff was friendly and responsive to our request.

The hotel is a perfect central location! The bed is exceptionally comfortable! No backaches in the morning!! Staff is very friendly and helpful! The only complaint I have is the lack of drawer space in the room and the lack of hooks, counter space and/or drawer space in the bathroom!

Good location, great room

Pros: Location, excellent staff.
Cons: Two nits: the towels were surprisingly chintzy for a 4-star hotel and the AC didn't cool the room off at night as much as we would've liked.
Location: Everything's right there.
Decades of high-end business travel around the world has made me VERY picky about hotels for personal travel. The room and location matter most. This one did that and more. Great location. Excellent concierge service. Plenty of space in the obviously recently updated room for my husband, 16-year-old and me (and would've been fine if we had one more) with frig, room safe, coffeemaker, electric blinds, HDTV, comfortable beds. Bathroom was great. Very quiet. Chinatown, shopping, Starbucks, McDonalds, transportation and fine dining all right there and we walked back and forth to Fisherman's Wharf, the Ferry Building and The Embarcadero several times. the Grand Hyatt Union Square was priced right to ensure a good, safe, four-night stay.

Great Hotel close to Union Square

Pros: The room was bright, newly renovated and very clean. The bedding was comfortable. We had a view of the bay which I would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful few nights in San Francisco. The hotel was close to Union Square, Chinatown and the cable cars.
