"The hotel was in shambles. Extension cords taped all over the ground. Fans, blowers, and extractors everywhere. Door lock systems didn’t work. Anytime we need to get into our rooms where to wait 10 to 15 minutes for somebody to open the door. They double charged me a check-in. Then on the way home ..."

Surfside Beach Oceanfront Hotel
"We were very pleased with our first stay at Surfside Beach Oceanfront hotel. The property is very clean and we were impressed by the daily cleaning/washdown, especially the outdoor spaces (pool, outside seating and yes, the parking area's). We didn't need much attention, as the rooms were spotless and everything worked, but if we had a question the staff was friendly and able to take care of us. Can't say enough about the location, between the pool, easy access to the beach and the surrounding bars/restaurants. If we hadn't chosen to do some local day trips, we could have easily spent our time right there. Should mention the pier. It was a busy place but they keep it very clean and it was fun to grab ice cream, watch some fishing or eat at the diner (excellent food, staff was great, and a shout out to the bartenders). We normally rent a condo for 1-2 weeks, but could only make a 4 night/5 day trip this year, so we gave this a try and we won't hesitate to return. Highly recommended."
