"We booked a suite - it was roomy & comfortable. Room service was scant and unpredictable - there was no "Do not disturb" sign, and the cleaning staff worked from 8-5, so we never knew when to expect them. Not surprising for such a large place (16 floors) but we are mid-day nappers, so this was a little..different. The staff were mostly friendly and polite, or unenthusiastic, depending on what part of the resort you were at. DON'T get the burgers at the Yella Umbrella - so gross we couldn't finish them. Also, the beer was warm. Heard the nachos were good but didn't want to risk it after the burgers... Breakfast: Mrs. H at the The Rose Room was AWESOME. The very definition of "Southern Hospitality". A lovely lady, who made us feel very welcome. :) Breakfast was plentiful and there was a rotating selection, but always eggs, yogurt, etc. Food was pretty good for a buffet. We didn't use the pool, other than trying out the lazy river, which was fun even for us old folks. Lawn area with umbrellas and chairs/tables was great; beach was convenient. Overall good stay, would be especially great for families with young children, but just average for us."

"We recently stayed at Dunes Village and had a great overall experience. The property has direct beach access, and we loved being able to enjoy the beach well into the evening. Guests also have access to multiple pools and the on-site water park, which makes it a fun option for both families and adults. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Our room included a kitchenette, which was incredibly convenient for preparing simple meals and snacks. The main downside is that guest parking is located off-site and requires a short walk of a few minutes. However, the hotel does allow you to temporarily park on-site while unloading and loading luggage, which helps make arrival and departure easier. Overall, it’s a great property in a convenient location—close to the airport, restaurants, and many of Myrtle Beach’s attractions. We’d definitely consider staying here again."
