The room was a disabled/access room but still had a shower over the bath? Not sure how a disabled person would access the shower. The room was okay but the bathroom wasn't clean, pooh under the seat and badly stained sink. Shower water went everywhere, power was ridiculous and control was not easy to adjust.

Stayed two separate nights in one week. Experience was some good; some bad. Check in staff great. Meals nice but service slow, chaotic and some food missed off order. Rooms were clean but dated. Another great stay at the Leonardo Hotel, Newcastle. A spacious clean room, much bigger bed than last time we stayed at this hotel. The temperature within room was great too, not too hot / cold. We ate in the main bar, food was ok, nothing spectacular, but it was ok, if overpriced. Drinks were over priced too and the bar snacks (£2 for a packet of crisps??) The only downside to the hotel was the housekeeping staff having a "heated discussion" outside of the room very early on Monday morning - less than ideal, but didn't take away from a good overall stay.
