Pros: These rooms are dead silent which you want in a city. Price was not bad for the area. Location. Cons: The designer/architect behind Zedwell have never stayed in one of these rooms—they are not designed for practicality or traveller comfort. -Mattresses are spring with minimal pad. -Beds are basically on the floor which is impractical for older people I am sure but also makes them impractical to sit on like a chair. -No place for luggage for an extended stay -Worst shower ever, no door, splashes water all over the bathroom, rain shower head make it impossible to wash your body without soaking your hair. -Toilet paper roll on a shelf—classy (sarcasm) -Single use shop-quality towels. One per person. -One pillow per person. -Liquid shower gel/shampoo but no washcloths. -No conditioner. -Glass door for bathroom—no privacy! -Toilet mounted too high for feet touch the floor. -The hall carpet was vacuumed once in the 7 days. It was filthy and in desperate need of cleaning. -The cleaning cart was left in the hall for most of out stay. It would have been annoying but allowed us to serve ourselves to fresh towels every day. -Room cleaning was nothing more than a sheet change and towel swap—not even a sweep or sink wash. It is a great place to meet a mistress (sound proof walls and nothing but a bed not meant for sleeping + a bathroom) but a terrible place for an extended stay with luggage. They took the concept of minimalism to the point of impracticality and discomfort.

It is a glorified hostel. Good for travelling students; not for families. Beds and bathroom only. No windows, no furniture, no amenities. And very expensive. Would not go again.

The cocoon rooms are for unique travelers - they are not for everyone. For a one-night stay to see a show, it worked for us. This would not be my choice for an extended stay. The hotel could use some improvements beyond the lobby. The hallway floors are dirty. The room ventilation is poor and after taking showers the room is musty and humid. The extra fees for baggage hold is excessive. We chose to pay for early check-in because it was cheaper than the baggage hold fees. The positives are the location to the subway and the West End theatre district. If you don't plan to spend much time in your room, this hotel is a good option. If you enjoy hotel room time and amenities, this is not the best option.

This is not a full hotel. It is more of a capsule hotel. The room had a bed and bathroom. No other furniture. Our stuff was on the floor and there was nowhere to sit except on the floor or the bed, which was just on a slightly raised floor. There were also no windows or television. Television I can live without, no windows was very worrisome in the case of an emergency. FYI, the bathroom is your but it is not private if you staying with someone else. The frost glass does not conceal much!

The property cancelled our booking since our amex card was not accepted. Expedia did not communicate this at all to us and we learnt about this after we arrived there. Luckily they had a room for us. Extremely disappointing.

The hotel was a different experience in having no windows but for our short stay in London it proved to be a fantastic location, wonderful service and very comfortable! Definitely recommend!!
