Just steps to the parade route, which makes this perfect for Mardi Gras or St Patricks parades. Easy access to downtown and the French Quarter via the famous New Orleans Street Car. The cottage features granite counters, deep walk-in shower, washer, & dryer. Brand new furnishings tastefully decorated by professional designers.

Good but Some Defects
Good location; safe, excellent restaurants nearby, interesting neighborhood architecture. The cottage was spotless and is mostly in good shape, with a few notable exceptions. The kitchen faucet requires too much force to operate. The range lacks external venting, which means the kitchen turns into a sauna if you do much cooking. Finally, the living room furniture rattles when you walk there.

Good Extended Stay for 2
My boyfriend and I stayed at this Vrbo for 8 nights. The cottage was very clean and in a fantastic and safe location just a block or two from lots of shops, restaurants, and cafes. It was quiet and the perfect size for a couple. Also, the host was very accommodating and responsive (within minutes) whenever we needed anything, so we really appreciated that as well.

There was not a list of anything, such as Wi-Fi info , laundry disposal, hygiene info!Communication with host was not good, I woke up every 10 mins with a bug in my face, trying to get in and out of the property was a hassle. I did not enjoy my stay. One thing good about the property was it was close to Magazine street.

Great location but needs some fixes
We were in town for a long weekend without a car and appreciated the location - on a quiet street, close to Magazine St. and coffee shops, and a short walk to a major grocery store. The cottage was nicely furnished, as advertised, although the patio seating was missing. Comfortable bed. We didn’t cook but it looked to have everything you’d need. A few issues - the central AC wasn’t working during our stay. Not a dealbreaker since it was only mid-80s but any hotter would have been an issue with only a single window unit for 3 rooms. Also would have been good to have been told that in advance to save the time we spent trying to figure it out our first night. Ceiling fan in bedroom also not working. Bath mat looked like it hadn't been washed in some time and towels were stained. Multiple broken blinds. Needs a little TLC.

One month stay.
Stayed in the very comfortable backyard cottage for a month living like a local. Excellent location in a great neighborhood, two blocks off Magazine, walk to Tipitini's. This was our second stay in the cottage and can't wait till the next time.

Great place
Great locations for the Mardi Gras parades. Easy walking to most of them over the final weekend. Very clean and quite. Good street parking. Loved the bag of coffee left for us to use. Large shower with plenty of hot water. Safe neighborhood with eateries within walking distance. Great coffee shop close as well. Host was quick to respond to messages. Great WI-FI connection

Great Spot
We enjoyed our stay. It’s a cute little cottage in the back of a main house. It’s very quiet, and the owners in the home were very kind when we met them. It’s in a good spot if you’re going to Tipitina’s - quick walk. Never felt unsafe. Family friendly neighborhood as many people were walking/riding bikes with their kids. Note: the toilet is very close to the cabinets of the vanity, so if you’re a tall person, it might be a little cramped. There is only a tv in the front room, so if you like to watch tv to sleep, just know that. And, the mantle that is on the right side of the bed is in the way and made it difficult to move between the bed and the blocked off chimney. I had to sleep on that side due to my broken arm, so I had to be extra careful. I know I like reviews with these details, so figured I’d share. Everything was clean, and pretty much looked as shown. Will come back next time we are in the area.
