"Historic Hotel"
Hotel is very nice and location a little out of way from the main Miami Glitz. Staff eager to please and place was art deco. Only buts: a) bed as hard as a rock and b) with only valet parking available the combined "resort fee" of $30 per night and parking fee of $38 per night totaling of $68 per night really brings the room rates up. Not expected.

"This is the place to stay at in South Beach! "
This was the first time that I stayed at the Gale Hotel and my family and I can't wait to return! Our stay at the Gale hotel was incredible. From the moment we checked in we received the best customer service. Valet parking was fast and friendly. Ideal location - one block from the beach two blocks from Lincoln Road. Our room was gorgeous! Everything was pristine and the breakfast that was included in our vacation package was delicious.

"Beautiful ocean views"
The Shelborne is a lovely, art deco beachfront hotel. Service is excellent and the rooms very nice (carpet cleaning will make rooms excellent). The hotel is accented by a beautiful fountain pool, Apothecary bar, and easy beach access with towels and chairs included in the resort fee. My stay was wonderful, and I would like to once again thank Robert for exceptional bellman service, and front desk manager Nicollette for her kind and immediate response in changing my room, when elevator noise interrupted my sleep. This type of service is what sets Wyndham apart. I look forward to my next visit, and highly recommend the Shelborne to those visiting South Beach.

"Resort Reno should mean Reduced Resort Fee"
This is a beautiful resort, in a great location. The room was fantastic. Sadly the whole hotel was being renovated, no pool and no gym. The property was a construction site while we were there, yet we paid the full resort fee. The upstairs tiny pool was crowded, loud and murky. We had to use the gym/ change rooms in the hotel next door. I just wish we knew this before booking, so we knew what to expect, or at least got a reduced resort fee as a compensation. I am sure it will be a much greater experince once all the work is done!

"Luxurious hotel, rude staff"
The Viceroy is, without a doubt, a posh hotel. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, and the attention to detail and amenities were stunning. But for all the luxury, the staff was rude and unhelpful. For example, we went up to the rooftop pool to swim but found no towels and no attendant. My husband ran back down to the room to grab some and upon exiting, a staff member stopped and told him he could not bring the towels to the pool. My husband explained there were none and no attendant. The staff member told him there had to be someone on duty, but he would send someone to check. No one came. We asked three staff members to send someone up to the pool area. In the end, we dripped our way back to the room—and ended up using the room towels after we ruined the floors! Also word of advice, it won't save you a dime to go up to the restaurant rather than order room service. The view is beautiful and the food is good, but breakfast was $75 and we waited over 30 minutes for our check while watching the wait staff chat. Perhaps no one in Miami is concerned with schedules or follow-ups. I would stay at this hotel again, but I won't count on good service.

"Beautiful resort with acceptable rooms"
We ended up here after the hotel that we had previously booked ended up being uninhabitable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds and public areas are amazing with a large interior courtyard set up with lawn games, a giant chess set, connect four boards and more - the kids loved it! The beds were very comfortable - even the rollaway bed that our 11 year old used. The room did have a few issues - the sink was cracked, several broken tiles had clearly been glued back on, the towel bar in the bathroom was bent, the toilet rocked when you sat down and got back up, the soap dish in the shower was damaged, the finish around the mirror on the back of the door was chipped so all in all, the room didn't present as well as the common areas but it was mostly clean, it was comfortable, and we did feel safe.
