Room Not as Advertised Posted Sep 22, 2015
I made a reservation for a Bay Suite at Mandalay Bay 2 months in advance to insure getting this room for my granddaughters 21st Birthday Celebration that she was coming to Las Vegas for her 1st visit and The only thing that even resembled a suite was the bathroom with a shower , and Tub. it had a TV in the bathroom but it didn't work, you could NOT Lock the room from the inside as the bolt would not close, the sitting area was simply 2 chairs and an ottaman, the floor to ceiling windows showed you the pool area no big deal. The room was on the 15th floor and had been "refurbished" the room was much smaller than they advertise it to be and very cramped once you got into the room. You will save a lot of money just getting the regular King bed room unless you really want a tub you most likely will NOT even use. The housekeeping was not great either, they just left the dirty glasses in the room and didnt replace them with clean ones. I spoke with a "customer service" representative as soon as I open the door to the room, Her name was Geraldine, and she was quite terse and insisted the room was a Bay Suite room, so if that is indeed true, SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Oh I forgot about the "mini bar" it was locked and you couldn't open it even if you really wanted to spend some ridiculous price for a soda! Don't forget the $29 /day "resort fees" when you book at Mandalay Bay!!
