We picked this casino/hotel for the history and location. We had seen a number of influencers show this place off so we figured it'd be good. The history of the place is very fascinating. We did an upgraded tower room north facing. Room was what you'd expect minus yhe whole door into the bathroom. Be very comfortable with your roommate when getting this room. View was nice during the day and at night. Location I thought was perfect to walk to freemont. The homeless surrounding the building would agree. It had a very distinct smell to it, dont know how to feel about it. Cheaper than the strip tables. Lots of slots. Can't complain there. What I will say is that we had to ask for our room to be cleaned every day as housekeeping would be knocking at our door before 9am expecting us not to be in there. Its vegas, we dont wake up at 8am. We had 1 day that was cleaned amazing. Everyone day seemed like a lazy teenager cleaned the room after being told 1000 times by their parents.To the miserable dinosaur of a cocktail server who pretty much tried to fight my girlfriend after she ordered a drink. Just because you hate your life, dont take it out on others. Stay home and be grumpy there. Alison and 2 other ladies(I'm terribly sorry I missed your names) in the players card section. The lady at the front desk, glasses and i believe it was only a 3 letter name with "ea" in it. The pit boss and roulette dealer in the middle table between the 2 bars on September 26 during the day.You ladies

The rooms are wonderful. They have a vintage feel with a modern twist, so that it gives you that vibe of the rat pack days, but yet you still have proper charging stations for phones, tablets, etc. There is a updated flat screen, and the lighting and bathroom amenities are also standard with the newer hotels and resorts. Housekeeping was top tier. Our rooms were cleaned and refreshed daily. There is free Valet parking, which is completely unheard of and for me sends this hotel over the top. There is plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment options just outside the door of the hotel, which makes it a perfect location for vacationers. I will definitely recommend the El Cortez Hotel to anyone traveling to Las Vegas.

It always a blast being at the El Cortez. Shout out to Mr. Bluff was a honor getting to meet him and his friends. El Cortez is where the fun keeping on becoming fun!

The hotel rooms are of a newer renovation, with them looking older in style to capture an older era. The bathrooms are more modern. For me I prefer a door to separate the bathrrom from the room as in the middle of the night if you are sharing a room the person sleeping gets a bright light in their eyes. Staying on the North Side of the tower is recommended as the South Side faces clubs with loud music from 10 pm till 2 am.
