Fremont Hotel Experience

Pros: Right out the front door you can walk to all the downtown casinos, don't need to worry about driving.
Cons: I thought everything was good.
Location: All downtown casinos right out the front door, places to eat, casinos to gamble in, the Fremont light show.
The Fremont hotel is an older hotel, it was more of a locals casino when I lived there back in the 1970's. The hotel was very clean, the front desk people were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are big and clean. There are many places to eat inside the casino or you can walk out the front door and be in the middle of all the downtown eating places and casinos. The hotel has free valet parking. I really enjoyed my stay there and will try and stay there my next trip.

Great value for location

Got a great deal on a room for 2 nights it's right on freemont street the hotel itself is fairly small but in a way I love that at the end of the night when your tired the walk from the freemont experience to our elevator it quick!! The staff were beyond helpful with random questions I had. The rooms are fair size clean and simple nothing was dirty and ac worked so well had to turn off for a bit because it got way to cold if your looking for the huge over the top glam hotel this isn't for you this is more of a home feel hotel simple & clean!

I would not recommend this hotel to a friend.

Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: For starters, do something about the smell. It reeks of cigarettes in the entire place.
Location: It was on the Freemont Experience, so if you like that kind of thing then the location is not too bad.
The hotel stank of cigarettes. The entire hotel. I stayed on the 14th floor in a non-smoking room and it stank. The smell of smoke gives me a headache but it was too late to find a new hotel so I just went to bed with a headache and woke up with a headache. They also charge $10 for wifi. I asked the front desk man if I could use my complimentary food and beverage card for the wifi and he said yes; when I went to check out the next morning they had billed me the $10. We tried to explain that to the guy at the front desk and he just said, "No. That's only for food and drinks." He would not listen to me while I tried to explain that we were told we would be allowed to apply it to the wifi usage. Just kept saying "No.", which infuriated my boyfriend. They ultimately took the charge off, but the incompetence was astounding.

Jill, thank you for your feedback. I am sorry for the miscommunication regarding the food credit and wifi charge. I will remind the front desk team that there are no substitutions for food credit as that is an element of the package you booked online. Comments such as yours enable us to identify both our highlights and shortcomings to improve overall guest service. We always appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Pros: I like the fact that it is on Fremont Street & they do not have a resort fee.
The hotel is old and shows a little wear around the edges but it is clean and in the middle of the action right on Fremont street. The desk staff were helpful and pleasant as were all of the casino staff. I would recommend this hotel for gamblers who want to be in the middle of the action on Fremont Street. I also like the fact that the hotel does not charge a resort fee.
