Grandview at Southpoint in Las Vegas

Pros: It was comfy, had 2 nice rooms for my business colleague and I, kitchens for coffee and such in the morning and was pretty accessible location wise.
Cons: It's not run like a real Hotel, there is no restaurant, bar, all of that is next door at Southpoint and the main Hotel
Location: It's in Vegas south of McCaron airport so as long as you have a car or Uber you can get around fairly easily.
Came here to stay for the Consumer Electronics Show. It's about 10 miles or so south of the Strip. This was incredibly less expensive than what we were finding on the Strip for 2 rooms. Our 2 day bill was the equivalent of one night for one room on the Strip during this show.

Bill, thanks for your online review on The Grandview at Las Vegas. We are glad you liked the 2-bedroom unit and how comfortable it was. Even though we do not have a restaurant or bad on site, there are lots of restaurants in the nearby area. We hope you choose to come back to our resort for another restful stay.

4 out of 5
Pros: The room was really nice. The bed was comfortable. It was nice to be able to get room service... and the food was good!
Cons: Having a maid come at least once during our stay would have been nice.
Location: Convenient, easy access to the South Point Casino
We had a great stay for three nights at the resort. We will be back! We didn't bring our kids for this trip, but it would be a great place to come for families.

Great pool/spa amenities...

When I got to the room, it was about 9:30 p.m. After unpacking I decided to take a soaking bath. Disappointing... There was suppose to be a spa tub, wasn't... A nice big soaking....but.... The tub was quite dirty, soap residue, hair, icky. I cleaned it with dish detergent, the only cleanser I found in the room. I had to go over to the office, a different building, to get new room cards 3 times... Each time after using the pool area, I could get into the building but not my room. The 3rd time I was "not so happy"!! The pool/spa areas were very nice, comfortable, clean, very enjoyable. The room was quite nice, well set, love having the kitchen facilities. Over all a good experience.

Closer to the strip, nothing special

Considering the reviews that I read prior to staying here, I had an expectation that this place was much better! However, I come to find the opposite of great! I like hotels seperate from the Casino .. Even though the hotel is not connected to the casino, neither is the workout room or anything else. You have to walk outside to get to everything! This is fine if it is nice out, but not with 40-50 degree weather. The Staff here was horrible, no one bothered to ask how was my stay, she took my key cards and said "you're all set" then walked away. Now that is Service!! Don't kid yourself.. -_- For the $180 a night, they should have been more welcoming and although the rooms are decent and pretty clean, the noises that occur during the evening in the room is crazy!! Fix those pipes people! Too noisy! Besides noisy kids that were next to us and the lady kept her door open! This place is least desired.

Thank you for your feedback and for staying at The Grandview Las Vegas. It is important to note that we are a timeshare resort and not a hotel. Our resort offers spacious accommodations and amenities that the usual hotels do not include. We regret the negative impression you have of our resort, including the inattentiveness of our staff. We are also very sorry about the noise level, but are pleased you were able to at least enjoy the cleanliness and comforts of the rooms. We have forwarded your comments to the General Manager, so that the issues you present here can be addressed appropriately. We wish you better travel experiences for the future.

Average place with average hotel staff

I thought I'd try the Grand View since it's away from the strip and the price seemed good for the amount of space. The room was spacious and the cleanliness was average. The check in process was chaotic and could be organized better. Since there our several buildings it takes a while for assistance. Our room key stopped working after coming back from the pool with my kids. Though they corrected the problem after waiting 15 minutes, nothing was given to compensate for the inconvenience. Check out is at 10:00 which is pretty early compared to most hotels. I asked for a late check out and they could accommodate an 11:00 check out. Overall not bad, however they don't go above and beyond for what they consider a resort.

Great hotel, but a little far from the strip.

Check-in and check-out were very quick & easy. The hotel consists of 7 buildings, I think. I was in their newest building, Honeysuckle, and everything was very nice. My sister was staying in a different building and hers was a not as new as mine and a little smaller, so I guess it's just wherever they place you. Overall, my stay was nice.

Nice hotel. Roomy and comfy like an apartment

Perfect for a family. Pools are nice. Kids enjoyed it too! I loved the decor made me feel at home. A full 1 bedroom apartment. Literally dish washer, washer and dryer, pans dishes utensils. The works. Jacuzzi and separate shower. 2 tv's 1 per room. Sofa bed. If I would have read it right I would have bought groceries. Would've liked to stay longer. 7 miles away from the strip. Will rent this room again. One of the best hotels I've seen yet. I recomend it to 2 couples or a family of 4 even good for a third wheel... Jajaja
