My Work Trip

I had to cut short my trip due to medical reasons and the hotel manager was very gracious and took care of refunding the money that I had paid for the last day of my stay.

Shell Game.....

Pros: Covered parking
Cons: Read my "experience"
After driving 200 miles to get to Las Vegas, we arrived only to find we were bumped 5 miles down the road to Texas Station. Once there, we discovered we were only registered for one night after we had already paid for a two-night stay. After making calls, 90-minutes later we were checking in for our two-night stay as we had originally planned. Not exactly the hassle-free check-in experience I've been accustomed to in past hotel stays. I was also disappointed that there was no microwave nor a in-room refrigerator I've enjoyed at less high profile hotels. Not any better than a Motel 6 experience.

Nice Value!

Pros: Easy access and free parking
Enjoyed our stay. Like most casinos in Vegas, they have a $17.99 resort fee but it was still a good value!

Go elsewhere!

When reserving this hotel your price does not include a $17.91/night "Resort & Tourist Fee" that hotel will charge you each and every night of your stay. This fee is in addition to the typical hotel and lodging taxes billed for a hotel stay. I spoke with the front desk and they explained that this fee which was called an "amenity fee" on my invoice was for the use of the resort amenities like the bowling lanes and Wi-Fi access and that every customer is charged this fee whether they use the amenities or not. There was nothing special about this hotel, the bathroom was on par with a $40/night hotel, there was no light above the tub/shower and they were so stingy that they didn't even provide a second bar of soap so you could have one for your hands at the sink and a second one for bathing with. Apparently they are not spending the "amenity fee" on amenities such as a second bar of soap. So save your money and go to a legitimate hotel or casino that doesn't surprise you with hidden fees for services such as Wi-Fi which anyone can get for free at any fast food restaurant.

Perfect Family Hotel

This is a great hotel off the strip if your visiting locals in Las Vegas. Do not pass up this hotel with its great stay price and it has everything inside! A Starbucks, plenty of eateries, a bowling alley, a movie theatre, the buffets are raved about by visitors and locals. Excellent breakfast buffet. Free valet parking

Spend an Extra $30 and Stay at Another Property

Pros: Cafe, buffet, most of the hotel and dining staff
Cons: Maintain the rooms and elevators, fix broken items, clean the carpets, put an air freshener system in
This is an outdated property that needs an overhaul. The good points...Buffet and Cafe were very good and a great deals, the hotel staff and dining staff were very good, security staff and maintenance were EXCELLENT. Now the bad...my wife was going to take a shower and the (giant) shower head came off and hit her in the face and left her with bruising. The Security staff took a report, maintenance said the old heads were in the process of being changed out due to them being old. The tub would drain sometimes and not other times filling with water. One of the elevators was like the Tower of Terror dropping suddenly, temporarily locking you in, doors opening and closing without notice. The room itself was not very clean (hair and feet were black from the dirty carpet). When we left, I thought with the 1+ hour spent doing the report for my wife's injury that the hotel would discount the room, offer a free meal or something. The response was "it is in the insurance company's hands now" ... Really! That is the hand off, no apology or empathy AT ALL from the front desk! Bottomline, spend the extra few dollars and stay and Santa Fe's Red Rock property...well worth it

Perfect if you hate typical Las Vegas long walk

Pros: Very clean. Nice and quiet. Everything was close to the hotel rooms.
Drove into valet, and went into registration, which was right by valet. The elevator was also very close by. MOST Vegas hotels have you going thru the casino, and you're worn out by the time you make it to the room. Santa Fe is smaller, but perfect if you hate walking. The food court was close by, and everything was super clean. Would certainly stay again. I am a senior and enjoy that I didn't have to do so much walking to get aorund.

great escape

Pros: easy to get to, away from the downtown and strip area which was my plan, comfortable, quiet and away from all the noise and glitz.
Cons: nothing
was visiting my brother and needed something close to his house. best decision I could have made, the restaurant was good but only had the breakfast.
