"Very surprised"
After reading some of the reviews on the website, I wasn't expecting too much. I was very pleasantly surprised! The hotel was extremely clean and the room itself very comfortable and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The pool area was clean; the ice machine worked fine. Breakfast was adequate, but I asked for an extra egg and was charged $2 for one egg. The server did not tell me their was a charge for the egg until after it was served. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We only stayed one night because of time restraints, but would have been happy to stay longer. Would recommend to anyone.

"A Jacksonville Jewel"
It had been years since I last visited The Omni in Jacksonville. We visited for one night when attending our nephew's high school graduation at Veteran's Memorial Coliseum. The room was impeccable! The staff as well!! We had dinner at Juliette's to celebrate after the ceremony and the food, service as well as atmosphere was most enjoyable. We will stay there again the next time we need a room in Jacksonville.

"Much better than the reviews make it out to be"
For the price, it's a steal. You really can't go wrong. If you're expecting a 5-star hotel, don't give this place a bad review just because it didn't meet your expectations. For a 2-star hotel, this place is stellar. It's close proximity to downtown Jacksonville cannot be beat for the price. Every other hotel close by will run you upwards of $100. It is just a $5 cab ride to get downtown. And it's not really in a bad neighborhood either. I was originally going to go to a Super8 off of U.S. 1, but when I found that the convenience store down the street had bulletproof glass windows, I decided against it and came here :)

"Staff was great, room was clean"
This hotel could use an update, but it was clean, in safe area and the staff was really great. We were in town for only one night, so I didn't want to spend a lot on the hotel, and this place was ideal for what we needed. Also, the lady at the front desk when we arrived was so nice and helpful, and gave us great advice on what time to leave for the area (we were going to a concert) and where we should grab dinner, and even did us a huge favor and printed our concert tickets for us. So the place isn't the Ritz, but it was clean and safe, and the staff was awesome.

"Not bad, just not great either."
We were travelling with our 8 lb Yorkie so we wanted pet friendly. This one was and right along our route. As others have said there's no real place to park and check in and unload. I don't know how many luggage carts there may be but I suspect some guests horde them so they can get one when they need it. We found one at check-in but not the next morning. The room was clean and bug free. The temperature was comfortable. There were places to plug in our electronic devices though no free plugs at the nightstands where I like my cell phone. I was a little concerned at the light trickle of water when I turned on the tub spout to get the water warm but there was sufficient flow to get a decent shower. Don't expect a massage from water pressure. My shower stayed hot though I ran it all the way hot. My wife's shower later also was hot and she didn't have it all the way up. The clerk at the front desk was friendly when we checked in. I honestly didn't notice the clerk at check-out. Our breakfast was hot and I ate my fill. The woman bringing out the food wasn't chatty but was doing her job.
