Over all the rooms were very comfortable, nicely kept, and staff was very pleasant. Enjoyed my stay and will stay there again, even though I I am a lifetime Marriott titanium, I would return to this hotel next time I’m in the area.

I flew into Jacksonville a day early (to avoid a major snowstorm in my region) for a winter conference at a different resort and I needed a place to stay. I did not want to stay at an airport hotel. I loved that I could book a great room at a great rate, all last minute. I wanted to stay on the beach with a window facing the ocean, so I could watch the waves while I stayed cozy in my room catching up on work. The front desk upgraded me to a corner suite, which was pretty great. The hotel was quiet Staff was pleasant. The food at the bar/restaurant was good. It was a great choice. I will have to come back - either in the winter again, or in the summer when things are more hopping.

All of the staff except for one were outstanding. The room was spotless and the view was stunning. Our room, #402 was poorly maintained. The lovely work desk with the chargers and outlets did’t work at all. I thought it was an outlet issue since other outlets in the room didn’t work. Staff brought me a 10+ ft extention cord that did work, so I was able to work eventually. The lights all connected to the master outlet in the entry and another master switch was near the bedroom. So the person that sleeps on the thin, lumpy, squeaky sofa bed can’t turn the bedside lamp on and off unless they get out bed and walk into the entry or near the bedroom. The shower was tiny so you can’t shower with the showerhead unless you want to get your hair wet - you can’t step back anywhere. The hand held shower head doesn’t fit in the holder so you have to hold it in tour hand. The furnace clangs on and off and the fan is incredibly loud. We thought it was an alarm of some kind the first time. We didn’t sleep well due to the noise. The king bed was very comfortable and clean but the sofa bed was really way overdue for a decent sofabed mattress. We reported everything and we were told by the staff that brought us the long heavy duty red extension cord that a maintenence man would visit and make all of the repairs but it was a lie.

This is rthe extension cord I was given so that I could work at the desk since the desk didn’t have power in the outlets or chargers.

Lack of storage for putting clothes in which had to stay in luggage. Fixtures in bathroom did work properly had to force cold water on and manually play with the hot water in the shower, plus the shower was filthy where the bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner were falling out of it's caddy. The nice part was the bed was made every morning but other than that I will not stay there again.

I feel this hotel has really gone down hill. I've stayed at this hotel 4 times now, and this latest visit was horrible. I called the hotel at 130pm on Friday when I got in to town to ask about an early check-in. The lady had an attitude and told me that they check-in time is 4pm. Which is fine I understand that. You normally get a welcome bag with 2 waters, no waters this stay. I paid for the premium room and got a 30"x30" shower that had the worst pressure imaginable. The wood trim in the bathroom was discolored due to water damage at some point. The beds have no box spring, just a board and are a foot off the floor and not very comfortable. The shop in the lobby, had no breakfast items besides bagels. No waffles or sandwiches that are on the menu. No specialty coffee items. Just regular coffee, and all the soda's were in the cooler and flat/warm. I won't stay here again.

The location is ideal. We were very disappointed in the quality of the food and drink, no worth the money we paid for it. The elevators didn’t work, and there was no sign put up for the guest, so everyone had to figure it out on their own. The water fixtures in our bathroom were broken. Just not a lot of reason to go back.

The room was nice and clean. The partial ocean view is gorgeous. What we didn’t like was that ice machines didn’t work and we needed ice; I saw water bottles in the maid’s cart but we didn’t get any; 2 out of 3 elevators didn’t work and it took us about 20 minutes to get down from the 8th floor.
