Dirty house
My family and I stayed here and will not go back. The house was dirty! The A/C vent had black mold covering it, the bottom of the shower door was covered in mold, we knocked down 4-5 spider webs in the corners of the different rooms, the return air vent was covered in dust, there was toothpaste still on the walls in the bathroom from the previous guests, and I could go on. The place was not kept up inside or out, stairs going to the beach were over a foot deep in sand, my sons dug out six steps that were buried in 1-3 ft of sand ( not natural erosion, the sand had covered the steps for a long time - no maintenance ) just so we could make it up and down to the beach. I called to complain to the reality company that handles the property and they said they would get back with me. It has been a week and a half now with zero communication. We loved the area but this house is not a vacation home, we have a family of six and there was not enough seating in the living room for all of us, someone had to sit on the floor. We are going back to this area again but not at this rental and nothing that is managed by Southern Shores Realty.
