Awesome hotel and services once we got my reservation squared away. I checked in at 2:30 and they said my room was not ready and did not know when it would be. They worked very hard to find me a new room.

Weekend Trip to Charlotte

Pros: This is the first hotel, beside beach locations, that does not have carpet in the room. Loved it. The laminate was stylish and clean!
Cons: I would like to see the hotel once the lobby and registration area renovation is complete.
Location: The hotel is in an ideal location within the downtown district. Plenty of restaurants and local events to enjoy.
Downtown Charlotte is a wonderful location for weekend trips. There is a lot to do and enjoy. The kindness and manners of the south still exists in Charlotte!

Great location

Pros: The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel's condition was good.
Cons: Bathroom design.
Location: Many restaurant and pub choices within a short walk.
The best feature of this hotel is the central uptown location. The hotel was in an updated state of repair but some design choices aren't very good. Our bathroom was stylish and modern but the one thing that stands out as needing to be reconsidered is the opaque glass sliding door. Leaving a large gap when closed, it doesn't provide the requisite privacy and rude bathroom noises are shared by all. Plus there was no exhaust fan to help remove odors and shower steam. Additionally, this bathroom was consistent with so many others in that there were insufficient hooks on the walls to hang towels or toiletry kits. On the positive side, we liked the low shower entrance in place of the traditional tub and all the fixtures were nice.

Close to epicenter and all attractions

The hotel was OK. The bathroom was very small and they only gave me two wash clothes and towels a day. Which caused me to have to call the front desk everyday. We went out all day and returned at 5pm and our room still hadn't been serviced. The best thing about this hotel was the location. The staff was also very nice.

Fantastic Location. Comfortable Beds!

There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel. The location is amazing. It is close to the Blumenthal Center, Epicenter and lots of great restaurants. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and very polite. Check in was very fast and efficient. If you get the option to include breakfast with your room, do it. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and would have been far more expensive if purchased separately. It would have been about 3 times the price. The beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of pillows. The room temperature was actually quite nice when we arrived. No need to adjust at all. My favorite thing was the fact that the linens not only looked clean, they smelled clean. Truly, genuinely clean. They did not have the questionable, synthetic bed spreads, but very nice, fluffy white comforters. There was sufficient space near the bathroom sink to hold the toiletries of two women. Service was just outstanding. I have decided that this is my new favorite place to stay in Charlotte.

They gave us the room we wanted.

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: No free Internet, pay for parking
The only thing I did not like was the fact we had to pay $14.00 a day to park the the car at the hotel. To me that should not happen ever.
