So happy to have had a bed that wasn't the size of a carport. I thought the interior design was a refreshing contrast to Marriott. I don't travel very much. This hotel was just excellent all way around.

A beautifully designed hotel. Very clean and up-to-date rooms. However, if you want to get any sleep, forget about it. The hotel is located on the very busy, and very noisy at night Hillsborough Street - this is noisy every night. It is also positioned right in front of the clock tower, which I thought was beautiful, but didn't know the tradition of football celebrators to meet at the clock tower and party all night after a win. Glad the won, but it was impossible to sleep even with ear plugs and a pillow over my head!

Convenient Location

Such a clean, contemporary hotel! This was perfect for our family. The hotel room so cool and cozy! We will be coming back!

Great location, you have easy access to everything in and around Raleigh. The hotel staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The Aloft really has everything you need for either a business trip or a family vacation. I will be back...next month actually!

Nice hotel for business travelers

Pros: The modern decor, lounge, and outdoor patio.
Cons: Lighting in the shower area, comfortable chair for watching TV or reading.
Location: It's directly across the street from NC State University. There are several restaurants withing walking distance.
I was in Raleigh for business. The hotel is clean and modern. They have an nice lounge and a patio that overlooks the carillon at NC State. The only things that would have made the room more comfortable are 1) a comfy chair to sit in while watching TV (I only had the bed or a desk chair) and 2) a little brighter lightbulb in the shower area. Otherwise, it was a great experience!
