As someone who stayed here with the majority of a wedding party this past weekend, semi ridiculous only a single elevator to the higher floor rooms was in operation the entire stay. Often you'd wait 10 minutes only for it to be completely full or packed with the custodial staff/laundry. I had staff tell me to take the stairs from the 8th floor. Starting first thing Saturday morning (had to be 8am or so) there was a charity event held outside to which people were rappelling down the side of the building from the roof. The noise from the DJ was one thing but to have people effectively looking directly into your windows, not to mention bathroom, the entirety of the day is such an invasion of privacy. I can't believe this was approved and that absolutely no notice was delivered this event was taking place to guests. Obviously we all wouldn't stayed elsewhere had we known.

We always love to stay 21C in Durham. The only thing that is a bit of task...is parking. We always chose to park our own car in a nearby Parking Deck that is free on the weekends. The lighting in the room we recently stayed in was very dark. I couldn't see anything in the bathroom or entry. That needs to be improved! The rooms have always been super clean in the past, yet this visit the room was a bit dusty and you could tell that all the surfaces had not been thoroughly cleaned. There was also a puddle of 'water' outside our door in the hallway upon returning to the room one night. We have no idea where it came from...and we mopped it up and it reappeared, so we contacted the front desk.

I liked the museum and artwork. The facility seemed dated and only one elevator was working. The valet/luggage person was really nice and helpful. Didn’t like that I checked in late and my room still wasn’t ready even though it had been pre booked and paid weeks in advance!

We were in town for a concert and the hotel was nearby restaurants and the venue the concert was at. It was clean. The staff was friendly. The only downside was our breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The coffee was cold and so was the food. Even though we were later for breakfast everything should have still been hot. I thought the art in the hotel was different and somewhat controversial. Overall a great stay

Unique place to stay.
We stayed only for one night. The hotel is amazing. The lower level, 1st and 2nd floors have art works on display. Even in the restaurant art works on the walls are really great. On the ground level fitness room with all the best exercise equipment and the sauna for guests to use. Room was big with a good size bathroom. The location of the hotel is right in the city. We enjoined our stay very much.

A very unique building/property with an artistic aesthetic in a great downtown location. The staff, from valet parkers to front-desk and reservations staff, were all friendly and helpful and made us feel at home.
