Loved being next to the Convention Center where our conference was. Thought $25 for parking was high. When told I could request departure from the parking structure beyond the normal 5:00 p.m., I did request another hour on Saturday morning. But when I was unable to leave until 6:45 I was under the impression I needed to have my key adjusted to let me out of the structure. Didn't need to. I was good until 22:00. If I had known that, I wouldn't have had to waste 20 minutes in the counter check-in line to find that out. That was annoying. Loved the property.

Great staff and very professional/friendly. When rude guests were running the halls, singing, slamming doors and loudly talking for over an hour (11pm), we called security and they safely defused the situation.

Thought it would be nice to stay in a fancy hotel.... breakfast $25 on top of the hotel nightly fee, pillows are THE WORST I have ever seen! Nothing super special about this hotel except location! Will stick with my normal hotels & not try to be fancy ever again! Lesson learned!

Never again...

Pros: Very nice and clean
Cons: Better hospitality
Over the weekend we decided to have a short "get away" and decided to go to Charlotte NBA playoff game. Check in is 3:00 arrived at 4:00. Our room was not ready and had to get dressed for the evening in the workout facility dressing room. Sorry, we did not pay good money to be dressing in the locker like we were at the YMCA

We typically only stay at Westins. The customer service at this particular Westin was terrible, all the way up to the manager, Fiorrella. Rude staff. Westin should be embarrassed.

Hotel close to the Stadium

On arrival to the hotel, there was construction making entry difficult. Upon check-in at @ 6:30pm, only one of two rooms was ready. My husband spoke to the manager who promised compensation for the 2nd room and placed us on different floors. Three weeks later, we haven't received our compensation. We ate dinner in the restaurant that evening. The food was excellent. The service was very slow. On check out, my son asked a bell hop for a cart to transfer our baggage and was refused. We carried our bags out. I asked the attendant at the front desk about the cart. Her response was "the bell hop must go with the cart to make sure the customer doesn't hurt themselves using it." We were thankful to leave. One very positive moment was once we were home, my husband realized he had left his pillow. I called the hotel and they did have it. It was sent by fedex for which my husband was grateful. The rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable. The location was great for the Packer/Panthers football game.

Convenient location

Long wait to check in 7pm on a Friday, first room was not made up...bed was used. second room was nice not as good a view. We were given a nice credit to use at the hotel dinning room or bar. We chose to use it in the dinning room as a breakfast before a 10 hour drive home. The dinning room is fine if you want the buffet, due to dietary issues that is not an option for me, the server was very accommodating and helpful with my issue. The Sunday service was very slow refills of coffee and tea were difficult or none was offered. The credit given was about 2/3rds of the check for three. Other than all of the above it was clean and everyone was very nice.

Unacceptable

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: I don't know if they are understaffed or just slow getting rooms prepared.
Location: Charlotte is a great city. Tons of great places to eat and things to do nearby. Great location.
We came to Charlotte for Packer game. Read hotel reviews and expected a great stay. Instead, after a long line at the desk we were told our room was not ready even though it was after check in time. They offered to take our phone number and call when ready. Told us the bar was available for our wait. Good thing we had a difficult time getting a drink at the bar because our room was not ready for a few HOURS. Once our room was ready we had to wait in a long line again to get our keys (because there were over a dozen others whose rooms weren't ready either). They were severely unprepared and that is unacceptable.
