The room, the staff, the service all impeccable.
The only let down for me was the food. The buffet restaurant option is very simplistic and bland. Not enough choice and not replenished frequently, nothing was ever hot hot. I don’t know how children survived on the food in this resort as there was not enough really catering to children’s palettes but that wasn’t my concern. The Italian was basic and horrible (my friend experienced having the same exact watery tomato base in his starter and main course, the Mexican made my friend ill, only the oriental restaurant got a revisit from us. Did not visit the steak house as that was an additional cost for dinner and if the quality of the food in the other restaurants was anything to go by we didn’t want to risk it. The other restaurants on site were never all open at the same time, one was always shut. Even the buffet was closed one day which we found shocking but thank goodness we stayed in the Royal tower in a select room so we had the option to use room service multiple times a day for food which you you can’t in the standard rooms (only once per day) so we did end up going into town to find authentic Mexican food.
Thank you to Yajahira my butler as she made things easier for us by fulfilling requests such as making reservations and securing Bali beds for us. The room service staff were also very pleasant. I would go back to this resort for the rooms and service but not for the food which is a shame as it’s a big aspect.
