The food quality was not up to the mark. Poor food variety and selection across all the restaurants and very limited reservations thus barely could get bookings. Poor room services and lack basic communication skills at times. We travelled with a toddler and requested a crib way ahead of time and requested it few times during our stay but never got it as well.

The app for booking dinners was first come first serve but access goes to the VIP members first (which means very few are left). Since we had a large party (10 of us), we couldn’t get a family dinner until we begged the front desk. The bartenders were our favorite part of the trip, along with the sushi. During our spa visit, we were not offered the steam room which was include with our purchase. Overall, it was a beautiful place to stay but poorly managed. They need to work on their communication system and find a way to better accommodate larger groups.

Beach: The beach was great! Food: Very Bad Dinner buffet had only a few main-courses - rarely anything good. Daily it was 3 meat dishes in some sauce. Most of it were filler items - sauces, bread, butter, lettuce etc. Only the dessert options were somewhat acceptable. Few items tasted good; sometimes a dish had no salt - sometimes too much. Never saw avocado/guacamole/shrimp. Saw 2 consecutive days of (the same) mashed fish-stew. Breakfast buffets at 2 places - waffles and pancakes looked undercooked; never any bacon - one crowded omelette station at each place. If anything the bakery section was somewhat decent. Lunchtime: no buffet so guests are get food from 4 small restaurants. Very few staff attend to the large number of guests. On one day, it took 45 minutes after we were seated for someone to take our order. Everyone is trying to flag down the few waiters - it's a mad-house. I can't believe how terrible the food at the Mexican lunch-only restaurant was - IN MEXICO! Only the sushi bar was decent in my opinion. Housekeeping: Bad Coffee makers were not cleaned - we found them with used filters after service. Empty water bottles, used coffee cups not cleaned up. This despite leaving tips. They did little other than make beds and change towels. WiFi: Had no Wi-Fi for 2 of 6 days All-inclusive really seems to be "tip for everything". Felt much worse of an experience compared to a cruise.

Honestly, I’m surprised Wyndham has an 8.4 rating. I have never stayed at an all-inclusive resort before, but if they’re all like this one, I won’t be staying at one again. The food is not good, and you have to fight your way through the buffet if that’s where you choose to eat. People will blatantly cut in line, it’s crowded, and the food is amazingly bland. The room service and restaurant food is just as bad. The beds are very uncomfortable unless you enjoy sleeping on a brick. There was one day where we kept losing power in our room. The lights, AC, TV, everything—off and on. I tried to speak to someone about the shuttle service and kept being told to go to different places. I ended up in front of the guest service desk listening to an employee have a personal phone call and crying while we were standing there. It felt very awkward as a patron. You can’t leave your room without going in front of the club recruiting squad

The Sushi Bar was amazing, and the beach was clean and lovely—we spent time in the ocean every day. A hiccup came with transportation: Expedia had said they’d arrange it, but we ended up stranded at the airport. It took a long time to find costly transport, and the departure link they sent was incorrect. They weren’t able to fix it, and we didn’t get a refund. It was a frustrating experience and kind of ruined the trip for our family, so we’re not planning to use Expedia again or recommend them. We also asked the hotel for help, but they couldn’t assist, even though they have an hourly shuttle for certain guests. If you go, consider booking early and asking about bracelet options (black bracelets, if available) to help with restaurant reservations and airport transport.
