My mom and I stayed 5 nights here. We didnt receive our welcome drink like so many others we saw. The room was nice modern and spacious. Lighting was dim and the light fizture was dusty, but it was awesome otherwise. Balcony looked over the pool area and lagoon. Always something to do. Food options were ok. Buffet closed on the weekend for dinner. Why, idk. Drinks were inconsistent. The staff was wonderful. The 24hr food was terrible. For the price I expected better food. We ate off site 3xs. Was delicious. Im not sure vantage club was worth it. The rooftop pool was nice but isolating. The special bar was decent. Same food smaller scale. The beach club in essence was nice, but the hump over to the beach and crashing waves seemed a bit dangerous. I dont like the transportation to the club because people just walk up and get in front of you. There needs to be numbers given out for there to be order. Would I stay again? Yes close enough to the action and far enough away for quiet after the last bar closes at 1a.m. I wouldnt get vantage club again though.

The property is nice and has a pretty aesthetic. As an adult only stay, we expected a livelier more energetic vibe, especially for evening activities. Also, the limit on taking left overs and food options seems a bit strict considering it’s adult only.

They have a couple of good restaurants but advertise multiple that “weren’t open” for no reason. Limited hours for their buffet area, the coffee shop advertises a full menu of food but every time you would attempt to order something they said they were only making the top portion which was 4 panini style options, all of which looked different and tasted different any time you ordered the same thing & often didn’t include the vegetables advertised, extremely subpar. They have a very strict schedule for activities like sand or water volleyball and made it difficult to play on your own time. The bugs were horrific (not just outside but inside too) and both people I vacationed with were eaten alive in their sleep (no sign of bedbugs when checking but bites looked very similar), the service staff refused almost every request we made trying to break bills or exchange for pesos, my friend also planned a birthday set up in our room and paid almost $200USD for it and they forgot the cake. The drinks were watered down and everyone on our trip had sick stomachs almost every single day we were there (unrelated to drinking as this happened even on days we didn’t drink), the poolside bars had limited hours closing at 6pm and they didn’t play music at the pool unless it was during the aquazumba, the “night life” was someone playing outdated tunes on a lousy boombox speaker in the cafe. I could go on and on with issues but I’m about out of characters. I’ll stop at ‘don’t waste your money’

If I could give 100 stars, I would. The people at this resort are what truly makes the experience amazing. From the moment we arrived, we immediately felt like family. Starting with Carlos in the vantage club lounge. He works mornings and makes the most incredible and unique drinks! We loved starting every day with him. We then spent majority of the days at the rooftop pool bar with Moses (Sasquatch) and Willie! We absolutely loved them! They were so much fun and made us feel at home with friends. Then mid day, we would have either Angel or Caesar come with the games! We loved music trivia and Pictionary so much. They were so much fun! And then we can’t forget Carlos at the beach club. He bent over backwards to accommodate us and made us feel so special. We loved him! We also loved Gustavo at the ceviche bar! My husband loves ceviche and I do not, so he and the chef made me a special tostado! I felt so seen!! Can’t forget our favorite evening bartender at the Amber Night bar! I just blanked and forgot his name, but he makes the best shots and drinks. Such a sweet nature too!! Can’t say enough positive things about the people here. Oh, the food is AMAZING as well. So many choices.
