The room was spacious but had a few issues- the drain in the sink was clogging. Maintenance had to come fix. There was also little gnats around the room. And a dehumidifier we had to keep emptying. The food was sub par. Food at Cianti was ok. Never went to the other sushi restaurant as the host desk never made the reservations they wrote down. Ended up having to go out to eat that night. the Balam restaurant lets its food sit out way too long. Nothing really special to get excited about. The chairs by the pool are nice if you can get one. People wake up and put their stuff on them to save it. Even tho they have rules to prevent this . The beach was nice- location is decent.

Hotel did not look like the pictures, they did not mention it was under construction and the only available rooms they had had terrible views, food is not great but it’s edible, drinks are mid, if you want a nice room make sure you pay extra we had to stay in a room outside the hotel which made us feel a bit unsafe not being inside the hotel, hotel is very tacky and lack of updates on the pictures .

We booked a master suite with ocean view. It was a nice room overlooking the pool and had a full ocean view. We didn't like the fact that it had 7 stairs that you had to go down to get to the balcony. There was no handrail, so we were quite concerned about falling. The staff were all very friendly and courteous. Bernardo at the pool bar was excellent. There is only one pool at the resort and it only has maybe 24 loungers around it. People would put towels on the loungers quite early in the morning to reserve them. There are more loungers at the beach. It was easier to get a spot there. There are two ala carte restaurants. You can only reserve them the day before or day of before 2pm. They are also each closed two days a week. This was a bit frustrating as we were only able to get into each once during our 7 day stay. The resort has a lot of steps everywhere. From getting into the front entrance and everywhere outside. Some are quite steep and not all have handrails. There are handicap ramps but they are also quite steep and slanted. I would not recommend this resort to the elderly or handicapped. They are currently under renovation. There was constant noise all day from the construction and sometimes as late as 7pm. The lobby lounge doesn't open until 6pm. There are no shows in the evening however they have music and or karaoke starting at 9pm. I realize that we were there in what is considered off season. It could be different when busier.

WARNING: We were detained in the lobby at checkout while staff insisted on waiting for housekeeping to inspect our room for “damage or theft.” No other guests were treated this way. The experience was humiliating, felt like profiling, and was completely unprofessional. Avoid if you expect respectful service.

The hotel smelled like old and super humid, The food was nice but the restaurant is very small and I didn’t like have to make queue to eat cause it was packed. They offered to attend a “meeting” to get some discounts but there was so much miscommunication and they didn’t give us what they would do ( waste of our time). I can’t believe is all inclusive but I have to pay to lay down in a cabana that nobody else was using. For the price the place was okay

The staff and service was excellent! Unfortunately, our room ceiling fell through and leaked water on the bed and on the floor - they repaired it that day but it started to leak again, we had to stay in the same room. Also, the construction at the resort is out of control - they work very early and extremely late at night, our sleep the entire trip was disrupted. So sad. Aside from those issues, the beach was great, the staff again, were so kind. We’d try the NYX again, but maybe a few years from now when construction is resolved.

The hotel itself was nicer than I had imagined it and the upgrade to a suite overlooking the ocean was not expected! The staff were all friendly and the food was quite good. I’m not really a beach person, but I could see that the beach could get bit crowded due to the size of the property. We stayed in Cancún two nights after a holiday in Mérida because the homeward flights are better out of Cancún, and this was just a bit of luxury before flying out.

There was no electricity in the room for 2 days. When we went to reception they said its an external issue. Didn’t get any compensation for it. 3 days of no WIFI in the room. Staff kept saying they are fixing it but never did. No stairs or accessibility in certain areas of the hotel. Staff was always watching you very hard, sometimes making us uncomfortable
