We booked a master suite with ocean view. It was a nice room overlooking the pool and had a full ocean view. We didn't like the fact that it had 7 stairs that you had to go down to get to the balcony. There was no handrail, so we were quite concerned about falling. The staff were all very friendly and courteous. Bernardo at the pool bar was excellent. There is only one pool at the resort and it only has maybe 24 loungers around it. People would put towels on the loungers quite early in the morning to reserve them. There are more loungers at the beach. It was easier to get a spot there. There are two ala carte restaurants. You can only reserve them the day before or day of before 2pm. They are also each closed two days a week. This was a bit frustrating as we were only able to get into each once during our 7 day stay. The resort has a lot of steps everywhere. From getting into the front entrance and everywhere outside. Some are quite steep and not all have handrails. There are handicap ramps but they are also quite steep and slanted. I would not recommend this resort to the elderly or handicapped. They are currently under renovation. There was constant noise all day from the construction and sometimes as late as 7pm. The lobby lounge doesn't open until 6pm. There are no shows in the evening however they have music and or karaoke starting at 9pm. I realize that we were there in what is considered off season. It could be different when busier.

The staff and service was excellent! Unfortunately, our room ceiling fell through and leaked water on the bed and on the floor - they repaired it that day but it started to leak again, we had to stay in the same room. Also, the construction at the resort is out of control - they work very early and extremely late at night, our sleep the entire trip was disrupted. So sad. Aside from those issues, the beach was great, the staff again, were so kind. We’d try the NYX again, but maybe a few years from now when construction is resolved.

The hotel itself was nicer than I had imagined it and the upgrade to a suite overlooking the ocean was not expected! The staff were all friendly and the food was quite good. I’m not really a beach person, but I could see that the beach could get bit crowded due to the size of the property. We stayed in Cancún two nights after a holiday in Mérida because the homeward flights are better out of Cancún, and this was just a bit of luxury before flying out.

There was no electricity in the room for 2 days. When we went to reception they said its an external issue. Didn’t get any compensation for it. 3 days of no WIFI in the room. Staff kept saying they are fixing it but never did. No stairs or accessibility in certain areas of the hotel. Staff was always watching you very hard, sometimes making us uncomfortable

This was one of the nicest resorts I've been to in Cancun. The staff are amazing and attentive, friendly and outgoing. The food choices were plenty and having a different theme every night was fun. Lots of options whether you go to the buffet or order off the menu. We went during the off season for dental work and really enjoyed recovering here. The only downfall for me was that there were a lot of stairs to get into the hotel as well as down to the restaurant and beach areas and I have bad knees.

This would have been a solid 5* review all day, if not for construction noises - hotel and next door property construction seriously impacts the relaxing and otherwise wonderful beach experience. Thankfully, we couldn't hear it in-room. Another issue we run into was the maintenance crew that just invited themselves to our room while my wife was in the shower - quite a shocker for her. Hotel staff was apologetic about the incident, but it did leave a bad aftertaste...

I booked this all-inclusive hotel with a group of people for my trip after reading good reviews and seeing beautiful photos. It wasnt the cheapest, nor the most expensive in Cancun's hotel zone and seemed to give us everything we needed. 2 upscale themed and one all-purpose restaurant on site, pool, gym and even a beach area covered with palm trees. Very clean. Most other hotels I looked at didnt have that coverage on the beach. I thoroughly enjoyed the organized activities and played beach volleyball every day. Here is what I didnt like. All-inclusive was not all-inclusive despite having booked this through Expedia. My party and I were immediately disappointed during check-in when we were offered to upgrade my all-inclusive experience to 'premium' all-inclusive for $50 USD per day. There were restrictions to the restaurants on the property as well as the drinks. One of the restaurants required a 5-night minimum stay to be included and the drinks were very weak bottom shelf. The all-purpose restaurant that was available for breakfast, lunch and dinner has a buffet option for breakfast and dinner but it seems over the days that a lot of the food was very similar without a lot of protein meats or fish as options. Ill be honest and say that as my first all-inclusive experience, I was disappointed. I've heard wonderful things from friends that have gone to full all-inclusive hotels that were disappointed in this hotel and I won't be coming back here. Expedia needs to do better.
