We traveled to Cancun with two of our adult children. The positives of this resort include the beautiful water, easy access to the beach, and the fantastic cleaning crew who worked non-stop to keep our rooms immaculate. Unfortunately that was the extent of the positives. The resort is under construction, including the wrap around pool and swim up bar, which was the primary reason we chose the Emporio. The noise from the construction started early in the morning and continued late into the evening. The “all inclusive” does not include all. There are drinks and restaurants that are not included, despite us paying quite a bit extra for the “all inclusive” package. The rooms are spacious and clean but the beds are hard as rocks. One evening maintenance knocked on our door at 12:30 pm because of a roof leak that we didn’t have. Getting a good, restful night’s sleep was impossible. With the notable exception of the cleaning staff, service is almost non-existent. The bars and restaurants do not open at the time posted. We waited over an hour after the opening times on several occasions. When we finally were able to get into restaurants there were no servers available to assist us. We are highly disappointed in our experience and will not return.

We had to be switched from rooms 2 different times. First due to a horrible construction view, nowhere on the site did it say the whole resort is under construction. Second time due to the room being invested with bugs. The food was okay, but only 2 restaurants and they weren’t the best honestly. Also the person who helped us Vanessa Chen was VERY rude. She didn’t want to help at all and was very condescending, she made us feel very uncomfortable. Also the cleaning person took money off the counter thinking it was a tip but it was over 100$ USD why would they think that was a tip. Aside from the bad stuff that happened the beach was nice and the access was good.

Very beautiful hotel and friendly staff. I do wish they had more restaurants; specifically another one for breakfast because only one does breakfast. Would of been nice if they had a sit-down breakfast restaurant. The map for the hotel is not accurate and very confusing. With the room we had we were down closest to the beach and we you look at the map it will appear their CUA restaurant is right next to that section but it is actually 3 floors up. Their map dose not specify the several different floors they have so you can can a better sense of where stuff is. We had a swim up room and I would name it more to be pool side since I've stayed in other swim up rooms and this is room didn't give the full effect of a swim up. We didn't really have a balcony area only every other 2 swim up rooms seem to have an actual private outside space which from the online room pictures you can't tell so I expected a more extra personal outside area but there was not. Other than those 2 points I have nothing "bad" to say about this hotel. *there's a ton of stairs btw the elevators are out of way so you'll do either a lot of walking if you're trying to use an elevator or you'll be walking up and down stairs constantly.
