"Chose the hotel primarily for its location. Close to 5th Avenue but a lot quieter than hotels around Time Square. The main positive was that, without exception, staff were great throughout the stay. The reasons for not scoring higher were the rather limited facilities in the hotel given its size (e.g. only one dining option and only for breakfast) and the rooms which were tired and badly in need of modernisation. Clunky showers over a bathtub with horrible shower curtains and the absence of safety handrails or anti slip mats, unfathomably low toilet, tired looking decor, furniture and carpets, no coffee making facilities and sketchy wifi all contributed to a sense that, despite the excellent location, this hotel had fallen behind the times and doesn't, despite its location, justify the room price."
