Place to sleep

If you’re looking for a place to sleep, this is it. It’s a room with a bed and a bathroom. It was clean and in a great location. But no amenities. Great staff though.

Adequate for quick overnight stay

Needed a bed for an overnight stay so I didn't have to schlep home after a show and back in 5 hours later for work. Small room, a little musty until I turned on the air conditioning. Adequate for what I needed but not the level of comfort I would want when traveling

Great for price but small

This is SUCH a great location that I will be staying there while in NYC from now on. The staff is super nice and the room is comfy. The only draw-back is the size which is super tiny. If you have lots of clothes with you, please note that rather than a closet you get a hook with 4 hangers on the wall. I am not a heavy packer, so this was fine for me and the bathroom and shower were nice sized, so that made up for it.

Vacation

I just spent 7 nights at Hotel 373 Fifth Ave and enjoyed every minute! The bed was like sleeping on a firm but soft cloud. The only complaints I had was the room was small and there wasnt a towel rack in the bathroom. My room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels when needed. The front desk clerks were extremely courteous and friendly. The Oxford Cafe next door had good food and coffee. There is other restaurants in the area. Public transportation is close by bus or subway. Taxis are easy to find but a little expensive. There are benches along 34th Street and around the Empire State Building to rest when you get weary. Souviener Shops galorie. Macys and Manhattan Plaza 2 blocks away. The hotel has a pamphlet with a map of the subway bus lines. It was my first stay at the hotel and I plan on staying there again in a couple of months. I highly recommend this hotel for one person or a couple. Definitely not for a family.

Excellent staff; VERY SMALL room; Pretty decor

We have mixed emotions - the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful! The room, however, was a Queen, and I doubt that it was more than 10x10; no walking room, no closet and only six hooks on the wall to hang any clothes or coats and only three hangers; two small drawers and one small desk. If you borrowed their ironing board, you had to use it quickly and put it in the very small hallway to pick up because you couldn't walk around it. No lobby to speak of - one small desk with two people; sliding glass door opened into Starbucks - nice. Across from Empire State Bldg. No restaurant but places to eat in area. No room service, no ice buckets but they would bring you ice if you could find a place to put it. Would like to stay there again but too cramped - no room to even open out suitcase except on bed, empty it in drawer and stand 2 cases on top of each other. They could have installed several nice hooks throughout the room on the wall for hanging if they didn't have the room. Great for one person but unworkable for two. Pros: Very pretty, updated, contemporary decor; very clean. Some countertop in bathroom and hairdryer. We were on the 9th floor, very quiet; very nice flat screen tv on wall.

Everything was great, except the noise and too much light.

Great location!!!!! Great beds!!!! Nice marble bathroom, big shower, good TV. Beautiful doors and nickel hardware. Clean. Good solid contemporary furniture. Small but big enough. Hear the elevator ding, see the light under the door from the hallway, street light illuminates the room through the closed blind, and traffic noise can be loud, making sleeping interupted (for me). Vacuuming the hall at 10am on a Sunday. Friendly desk people. No designated place to pull up in front to load/unload car or taxi. But it was a nice hotel with Starbucks attached for easy coffee access.

Hotel 373 in Manhattan

We found the Hotel to be in new condition, small but comfortable. Staff was helpful and courteous. Room on top, ninth floor, was quiet. Lack of a closet and limited drawers make for a challenge but still the price was right and the hotel was very neat and clean. Most taxi/limo drivers were not aware of 373's existance.
