We've been coming to this resort since before it was a Hyatt or a Hilton it was called the Royal Playa del Carmen. It has retained some of its original charm. Overall the food is less quality but still good. Can't changed it to reservation only for dinners which was a letdown because it was not that way in the past overall still clean and great location

Rooms were great. Staff was great. Didn’t like all the upcharges (cabanas, certain meals, certain alcohol, etc.. ). Wish there would have been a bigger variety of food.

The room was very spacious, clean, and spotless. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the entertainment was fantastic, keeping guests engaged all day. The food exceeded expectations, honestly better than Xcaret in terms of room and food options.

Beautiful beach, plenty of wonderful staff. Nightly entertainment, some a little too loud ( probably acoustics). Some trouble with dinner reservations. Food was outstanding!

The property was well maintained. The entire staff, from groundskeepers to reception to restaurant workers to housekeepers were excellent. The food was excellent quality, well prepared and presented. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable.
