It is a wonderful property with direct access into the park, has a amazing lagoon with perfect white sand. My children loved it, the wildlife pools and safety.

Buffets and restaurants close at 10:00pm, except two, pizza and tocos. Room service is suppose to go all night. I never got to use room service as I called several times, different days and times. They never answered the phone. The tv has two English channels and you cannot connect your personal Netflix or sling accounts due to the tv blocking the connection to have terms agreed to and it wouldn’t let you do that. You can’t make dinner reservations over the phone so you must walk to a certain building to make them in person even though there are two people located at the personal desk in each building. They don’t tell you before you book that what ever length of time you stay you only have half the restaurant credits to use. So if you stay for eight nights you only get 4 all inclusive nights to eat dinner at a restaurant, and that’s only if you book your dinners 2-3 days in advance. I was there for eight nights and was only able to eat at a restaurant twice due to nothing being available. The buffet wasn’t trash but they don’t change anything except the hot cooked food stations that are made infront of you. All the pools close at 8pm and for what I’m on vacation not curfew. The resort is huge and exhausting.Overall everything thing was inconvenient and just disappointing. The bed in breakfast offered was a joke. They brought bread and fruit. Nothing about this resort was effortless and accommodating. Glad I turned the time share down, imagine paying $22,000 to do this again

The property is amazing, great plant life and animals life. It is well cared for. The staff at the resort are super helpful and friendly. Roman at the pool snack bar went above and beyond everyday. Russell in the Oriental restaurant was great. The pool bar featured three amazing bartenders - Victor, Jose, and Selma. Our cleaner for the week was Consuela. She did an awesome job and helped out with a problem I had, which she was able to solve. Thank you to all staff which defiantly made the stay great. Food was OK, we found items that we liked at each meal, but it underwhelming. The room was great. The pools were amazingly clean and refreshing.

This hotel was beyond beautiful, there was not one staff who was rude everyone was helpful and friendly. this place is hugeee you will not be bored ever, they do shows every night live singing , the wild animals are super friendly monkeys deers flamingos the only thing i would say is the food is not good. tacos and pizza were great other then that food sucks.

The people were nice but the service for the drinks could be faster. The drinks all around alcohol and non alcohol loc beverages could be a lot better majority of them were watered down or not made correctly. The environment was nice and nurturing . It was cool to interact with animals.

As soon you arrive before even get into your room they tell you that you will wear a bracelet and if you loose it is $100usd, then they will try to get you in to a club to actually have access to different places a cross the place, you will feel more discriminating than ever, you go to a bar and they don’t allows you to ask for anything because you don’t have that membership, so you need to find another place, then service provided is terrible, people thinks that they are making you a favor, if it’s all inclusive don’t assume that, only Modelo beers and nothing else, don think you can ask for any other brand, I being in this area many many times and this is the worst place ever, will never comeback , restrooms on any place are dirty and no AC , I don’t have anything good to say about this terrible place, they are so focus on get you under that membership kind of timeshare and that’s all, DO NOT TRY THIS PLACE if you want to have a great time get other places .

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary and we couldn’t had chosen a better hotel. We had a great experience! Check-in was a bit slow, but everything else was great. The workers were so helpful and hardworking, please tip them.

had an amazing stay in Playa Del Carmen! The hotel Occidental was the perfect blend of comfort and nature. It offered direct access to a Xcaret park, a beautiful beach, and a relaxing pools—all just steps away. The all-inclusive meals and drinks were delicious and convenient, and I loved how much wildlife there was throughout the property—it really added to the tropical experience.
