The Neighborhood:

Playa del Carmen is one of the Riviera Maya’s most beloved coastal towns. A destination where turquoise waters, soft white sand, and vibrant culture come together. From world-class beaches and cenotes to the buzzing energy of 5th Avenue, Playa blends relaxation, adventure, and modern comforts. You'll find everything from authentic street food and beach clubs to upscale dining, art galleries, and nightlife. Whether you're here for a weekend escape or a long stay, Playa offers a lifestyle that’s both laid-back and full of life.

Staying in Playa del Carmen’s Centro means everything is right at your fingertips. The beach is only a few minutes’ walk away, while the bustling 5th Avenue offers endless options for dining, shopping, and nightlife.

This part of town is designed for walking and biking, grab a coffee at a local café in the morning, spend the afternoon browsing boutiques, and enjoy vibrant evenings without ever needing a car. For day trips beyond Playa, taxis, colectivos, and the ADO bus station connect you easily to Tulum, Cancun, and nearby cenotes.

Getting Around:

Getting around Playa del Carmen is simple and convenient. Most places are walkable, especially since many accommodations are located near 5th Avenue and the beach. You’ll also find bike and scooter rentals perfect for short rides around town or along the coast. Taxis are easy to find but don’t use meters, so always confirm the price before the ride. For budget-friendly day trips, colectivos (shared vans) run regularly to Tulum, Akumal, and nearby cenotes. If you're planning to explore beyond Playa, rental cars are a great option just keep in mind that parking in the city center can be limited.

This unit does not include private parking. Street parking is available with a parking meter system:

Hours: 10 AM – 10 PM, every day

Payment: At street terminals (cash) or easily via the MueveCiudad app (credit/debit card).

Outside of these hours, parking on the street is free.
