"This review is of mixed reviews for sure. Overall the front desk staff and bar/pool staff were absolutely amazing and friendly. But we did experience a very unpleasant security guard that was there at night. My wife had forgotten to put her mask on and as soon as we walked through the front door, he yelled, yes yelled, at her to put her mask on. Not a simple, “ma’am please put a mask on...” which would have been a much better approach. This elderly gentleman has no business working in a hotel like this. There was no custom service skills whatsoever. I also watched him yell at other family members to put a mask on. He even followed us to our room and knocked saying there was a noise complaint. This was a lie because we had just gotten to our room.
The only other issue we had with the hotel was our AC was broken from the start and it was very humid in our room. They worked on it for a couple hours, which we were not able to enjoy our room during this time. They ultimately could not fix it but offered to upgrade our room, but the following day. Not until 3pm. So we had to deal with the hot room for the remainder of our first day and most of our second day. I appreciated them upgrading our room but feel more could have been done, especially when you’re paying $1100 to stay there for 2 nights.
Like I said, rest of the staff was great, pool was great, and overall we enjoyed ourselves. But that security guard and the broken ac really brought down the rest of the trip. "
