"The hotels definitely need some outdoor maintenance and paint. Some of the stairs to go up have visible rust exposed which makes one think how save they really are. The ice machine was not working and we had to go their sister hotel location a block away everyday for ice. The rooms are actually very nice, specious, and clean. Bed sheets clean and sterile. Microwave, coffee maker, and hair dryer all worked fine.i think the fact that you’re 1.5 city blocks away from the boardwalk makes this a go-to hotel for those wanting close proximity but not top dollar rooms on the actual boardwalk. I would definitely visit San Diego again and would not mind staying at PB Surf Inn."

"It is rare that photos on VRBO don't subtly distort the size and attractiveness of rooms and outdoor spaces; this property was definitely an exception! If anything, the home and its amenities were even better than advertised. My family of 9 (4 adults and 3 children under 8), had a ball! The capacious pool with its two slides and comfortable, well-shaded poolside seating made mustering the group for San Diego outings like the zoo challenging! We typically hustled back to the house by late afternoon, so we could resume poolside play. The home was clean and well equipped, especially with beach chairs, toys and even a little wagon. April, the host, was quick to respond to questions, and handled a relatively minor problem (blown fuse), promptly. No one wanted to leave and we hope to return in the not too distant future."
